Senior Technical Consultant

The Senior Consultant is responsible for providing advanced implementation and consulting support to BLSS clients. The Senior Consultant provides expert subject matter and product expertise, working independently with clients to produce deliverables, provide customer care, consulting services, scheduling, planning, QA and onsite technical support for customers throughout a project life cycle.


1. Gather data, evaluate specifications and determine key requirements/project outcomes to successfully meet customer needs

2. Understands and provides best practice consulting regarding numerous workflows, modeling, and processes

3. Develops and maintains strong relationships with the client's functional leads and project team and maintains strategic relationships with key leaderships in key accounts

4. Responsible for completing assigned implementation deliverables over the project life cycle

5. Establish and manage project expectations with sophisticated client groups

6. Manages portfolio of multiple projects with various scopes and competing resources

7. Weekly project reporting on project status, time & expense reporting, and open issues

8. Successfully manage customer project through completion and transition to support team

9. Maintain accountabilities to Project Manager and project team to drive client project success

10. Serve as product expert, training users on functionality and workflow improvements

11. Identify and develop innovative solutions to meet client requirements

12. Serve as client advocate and voice of the customer/market for LexisNexis

13. Maintain awareness of market trends and applies to best practices employed in duties

14. Supports the development of other consultants through product training, shadowing & mentoring

15. Maintains an appropriate balance of utilization & average hourly billing across assigned projects

16. Expected total travel 80%


1. Bachelor's degree

2. 5+ years Consulting or technical software related experience

3. Excellent problem solving skills

4. Proven success in customer facing role 5

. Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy

6. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with experience communicating at an executive level

7. Proven ability to work in cross functional team environment

8. Strong organizational and time management skills

9. Strong process and continuous improvement focus

10. Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, CRM applications
