We have an incredibly wide and diverse application landscape meaning across the quote to cash estate we are adopting an API first approach and regularly challenged to solve complex business critical problems.  
We’re looking for a Senior Quality Test Engineer to join our team based in Oxford, to take responsibility for planning and executing effective automation and manual testing to accomplish on-time and efficient
delivery of high-quality software products being developed by the Squad, working closely with the software engineers and product owners to ensure that quality considerations and
testing are understood and performed earlier in the development lifecycle (shift-left). 
 
This is an opportunity to work on a key strategic platform in a well-established and 
respected global organisation. You will be a key member of our team working closely with individuals and business units from all over Elsevier.
 
You may have some of the following Technical Skills
  • Experience of working in Agile environments e.g. Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with end to end testing that spans multiple products and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Understanding or ability of pick up Salesforce functionalities.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute manual and automated testing.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Behaviour Driven Development & Test-Driven Development methodologies and implementation.
  • Experience with using any of the following; POSTMAN, SOAPUI, Cucumber, Gherkin & Selenium Web driver to create automated tests.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies & testing skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of process improvement.
  • Ability to select, build and maintain automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of industry trends.
  • Strong research skills (tools/root cause analysis).
  • Self-starter and ability to adapt and learn new things.
