Job Summary
The ‘Senior Quality Test Engineer, Identity Access Management’ position is a key role within our IAM engineering squad within Elsevier Research Technology. This position owns & drives the quality engineering aspects of our IDPlus platform, whilst providing subject matter expertise and guidance on implementation of new technology.
About You
- You are passionate about shipping high quality software to the customer as quickly as possible and make it your business to question everything to achieve that
- You understand that shipping high quality software starts with quality requirements and are comfortable helping to define these and fleshing out acceptance criteria
- You are confident talking to customers and stakeholders and engaging them in the process where necessary
- You are a strong communicator with collaboration at the heart of how you work
- You are passionate about efficiency and speed to market and are accustomed to working in agile teams following practices that support continuous integration
- You have experience of Behaviour Driven Development and creating automated tests with associated frameworks and tools
- You are confident testing SOAP and REST APIs (both automated and exploratory) and have a strong understanding of XML and JSON
- You are comfortable working with cloud-based infrastructure using Amazon Web Services
- You have experience of programming languages such as Java
- You understand the importance of gathering useful metrics around performance and load testing and have experience helping teams to achieve this
