Reed MIDEM is recruiting a Sales Manager TV Markets (M/F)

 Permanent contract – Based in London (UK)



Join Reed MIDEM’s dynamic UK-based sales team and represent the world’s leading international television markets for content creation and distribution:  


Based in London, the Sales Manager will manage the sales development of Reed MIDEM’s existing portfolio of UK and Irish television entertainment clients, including exhibitor, visitor, advertising and sponsorship sales for all Reed MIDEM’s television tradeshows and conferences – MIPTV, MIPCOM, MIPDoc, MIP Junior, MIP Formats, MIP Drama, In Development, MIP Cancun and MIP China.


The Sales Manager will have a clear understanding of clients’ needs and will build strong relationships within the UK and Irish industry leading to proactively identifying and proposing growth opportunities for clients through a consultative style.


Reporting to the London-based Sales Director, the Sales Manager’s mission is twofold:

  • Develop the strategic client portfolio within the UK and Ireland by adopting a consultative approach to clients’ needs
  • Propose tailored services, and identify and sign up future strategic partners necessary for Reed MIDEM TV events’ growth.

Responsibilities include:
  • Management of prospecting new clients and renewing existing clients. The Manager will set up and execute an annual sales plan
  • Tracking industry trends and new products, in order to propose tailored solutions to clients/prospects
  • Promoting our Shows at competitive events and to the press and relevant associations/federations
  • Creating specific communication tools and specific strategic projects
  • Monitoring sales activity through existing CRM tools


Job Requirements:

Candidates will be required to show their dynamism, have a passion for selling premium products, the ability to think of ways of developing business by creating and launching new products and services, be team oriented, results driven, well organised, and have the capacity to understand and adapt to different cultures.

In addition, the Sales Manager must have:
  • A clear understanding of the international television and digital content industry or the ability to learn about these sectors quickly.
  • At least 5 years of sales or business development experience.
  • The ability interact with C-level clients in order to propose multiple solutions adapted to clients’ objectives (exhibition space, sponsorship, print and online advertising, street marketing, visitor sales…).
  • Excellent customer management/relations skills.
  • An excellent track record in growing revenues within a business unit.
 
Travel:

Based in London, the Sales Manager will be expected to undertake extensive travel within the UK and Ireland, attend MIPTV and MIPCOM in Cannes twice a year. Trips to Paris to attend team meetings will also be involved.



Salary Package:
  • Basic salary package £35K-£40K depending on experience.
  • Results-based bonus of up to 30% of Basic Package
  • At-show per dieum
  • 25 days holiday per year
