ABOUT REED MIDEM’s REAL ESTATE DIVISION: 
Reed MIDEM’s Real Estate Division has three market leading brands with a truly global reach.  MIPIM is the world’s largest international real estate event attracting over 26,0000 attendees from over 100 countries to the French Riviera, completely taking over the city of Cannes for a week of business!  MAPIC is the leading international retail & real estate event, with over 8,000 attendees, from over 80 countries, again taking place in the beautiful city of Cannes.  Finally, MIPIM Proptech brings together the international technology and real estate community, taking place in three global hubs, New York, Paris and Hong Kong, establishing itself as the must attend event in each region!   
 
WHAT’S EXCITING ABOUT THIS JOB?
As the Sales Manager for Reed MIDEM’s Real Estate Div you will be working across both MIPIM and MIPIM Proptech, two of the #1 brands in the real estate industry.  The role is a combination of prospecting for new business, as well as developing existing accounts within your territory.  You will sell across a portfolio of products, including, exhibit space, sponsorship and advertising (digital, print and physical).  You will work with your clients as a trusted advisor, truly understanding their business needs and helping them achieve their company objectives.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced salesperson who is able to manage a large customer base, is highly consultative and skilled at building deep customer relationships. You will be expected to travel across the US visiting clients and attending competitor events.  Additionally there is the opportunity for international travel, when attending our own events and for training in the Paris Headquarters.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES: 
The Sales Manager will develop the strategic client portfolio by adopting a consultative approach and proposing customized services and solutions.   They will also identify and develop relationships with future strategic partners to promote company growth.
Primary responsibilities : 
 
1.  Contribute to commercial development
  • Meet basic commercial goals
  • Identify and transform Up, Cross selling and new business opportunities
  • Sell tailored solutions by following sales advising steps: : Active listening, the art of questioning, Rephrasing, Argumentation, Closing.
  • Formalize client needs through sales proposals
  • Have a multiple-contact approach

2. Manage your business

  • Utilize and update data in CRM
  • Sales monitoring and business reports
  • Define and communicate sales action plans by analyzing your sector and client portfolio
  • Coordinate internal actors working with your clients

3.  Act as a "relationship broker"

  • Develop and maintain a network with your clients
  • Be a brand ambassador (press, influencers, barters, etc.)
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
  • Be results driven, with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Have experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Demonstrate a history of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
REQUIREMENTS :
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience,
  • A minimum of 3- 5 years of professional experience in international sales development, in a B to B environment.
TRAVEL:
  • Monthly travel both domestic an internationally
