MIDEM is seeking a new Sales Director for North America.  You must be an experienced music professional with strong sales and communication skills to lead business growth and develop the awareness of our Midem shows worldwide.

 

Candidate must have professional sales experience in the music industry and be ready to leverage their network of contacts in order to develop partnerships with the global ecosystem in North America. 

 

You should be passionate about music with a strong knowledge of the music industry, and be prepared to represent Midem, research, prospect and close new exhibitors, sponsors, and conferences delegates to support growth of Midem.  

 As a Sales Director you will :

·               Be responsible for the renewal of existing clients and developing the portfolio by prospecting new clients for our brand, Midem.

·               Manage sales in the NYC office

·               Act as real ambassador for the brand and ensure its promotion on competitive events and to music industry 

·               Identify ‘buyers’/guests, and convince them to participate in future editions.

·               Monitor a sales action plan, using different sales channels (internal & external teams).

·               Participate in creating specific communication tools.

·               Follow the trends of the Music industry and propose tailored solutions to our clients.

·               Develop strategic sales approach and monitor sales activity through existing CRM tools, and deliver reports on a regular basis. 

 This position will be based in our New York City office.

Frequent travel to the main music cities in the US (NYC, LA, Nashville, and Miami) and Canada will be required on a regular basis. International travel will be also required from time to time.

Educational background: A Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in international B2B sales development, in the music industry

Industry knowledge:  Strong knowledge of and network within the Music industry is essential

Language skills: French and/or Spanish will be a plus
