We are currently seeking a dynamic customer facing sales leader for our JCK and LUXURY Las Vegas shows.

 

JCK Las Vegas is the leading jewelry event in North America open to all jewelry professionals. Each year, the industry gathers where the latest awe-inspiring domestic and international designers and most sought after trends are showcased.

 

Luxury is the pinnacle of jewelry buying between the world’s finest designers and brands and most distinguished retailers. Every detail is carefully planned to curate this exclusive event that mixes the best of business and networking in a stylish yet secure environment.  Luxury delivers for both brands and retailers the best place to do business in a high end environment.

  This position reports directly to our VP of Sales and is responsible for increasing exhibitor satisfaction scores (NPS) along with the overall achievement of space sales and media products revenue targets for assigned group of shows.  

 

For JCK and Luxury we are seeking an additional Sales Director focused on our customers, driving not only sales but customer satisfaction and loyalty for these industry leading events in a multi-billion dollar jewelry industry.  This individual will lead the sales team on a portfolio of sales generating more than $40 million in revenue.   You will directly manage a sales staff of seven-ten and indirectly manage an international sales staff.  Must be skilled in and enthusiastic about leading and coaching sales executives.  You will work alongside existing Sales Director (existing SD is internally focused managing contracts, spreadsheets, report creation, tracking to goals, interfacing with operations and sales support, list generation and cleanliness, etc.) 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Achieve sales targets on assigned shows.

2.       Act as primary sales contact for team.

3.       Define and implement sales strategy with the existing Sales Director and Event Vice President and document it in the Business Operating Plan.

4.       Work closely with Event Vice President, existing Sales Director and sales teams to achieve targets and identify new opportunities. 

5.       Floorplan management

6.       Work with marketing in developing prospectors and sales kits for the events.

7.       Develop and implement show Bellwether Strategy.  Sell and manage key accounts.

8.       Attend and monitor competitive shows and create pro-active strategies regarding competition.

9.       Monitor productivity of sales team to ensure they are all meeting productivity standards, sales quotas, pipeline management and the standards established for selling at RX NA.  Keep team at a high level of performance.

10.   Hire, train and develop sales professionals for the sales organization as well as continually train/coach sales team on all aspects of selling.

11.   Coach and mentor the sales team to be more consultative and customer satisfaction focused, delivering value to our customers throughout the sales cycle.

12.   Attend face-to-face meetings with sales team and listen in on phone calls periodically for coaching purposes

13.   Work with existing SD to define sales territories for Sales Executives.

14.   Provide creative and strategic direction (and growth) for over 2000 exhibitors and multi million dollars in sponsorships

15.   Work closely with Product Manager, Special Events Director and existing Sales Director to determine new sponsorship opportunities and set pricing

16.   Work hand in hand with the Marketing Director to create strong messaging for exhibitors and prospects

17.   Conduct sales team meetings along with existing Sales Director.

18.   Develop and maintain relationships with leading exhibitors, International pavilion leaders and Industry trade associations.

19.   Work with sales team to implement company wide sales initiatives set by VP of Sales

 

 

Education

                College degree preferred; equivalent business training or experience suffices.

 

B.            Knowledge

Knowledge of sales/sales management, particularly face to face and telephone sales techniques.

                Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

                Coaching and managerial skills preferred

                Strong knowledge of specific industry, which shows serves, preferred.

                Basic knowledge of window operating system preferred.

 

C.            Experience

Five or more year’s sales experience, particularly face to face and telephone sales and management experience.  Industry experience within the show subject strongly preferred.

 

D.            Travel both domestic and international as required
