HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist position works as a team member within Human Resources and in a business partner environment to promote optimum level of service to our internal customers. The incumbent is responsible for providing general H.R. support to an assigned client group. This position interacts with the management team to recommend solutions and address business needs. 


1. Meets with management teams to strategically evaluate and plan for future staffing needs.

2. As needed, provide recruiting support to fill open positions in accordance with management team?s needs, budget and or schedule. This would include all aspects of recruiting from meeting with the hiring manager through to onboarding.

3. Participates at job fairs, visits universities, maintaining rapport with placement counselors and intensifying networks with potential recruitment resources; examines and recommends new and additional recruiting sources for the business as required.

4. Collaborates with site management to address employee relations issues providing support and guidance in preliminary discussions/analysis, document review, employee meetings, and follow-up sessions consulting with HR Director as needed. Supports manager through employee interaction as needed.

5. Participates in various HR department related projects as assigned by Director.

6. Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes suggestions for improvements.

7. May work with compensation department, participate in compensation review annually to assure Reed Tech positions are properly aligned and tracking with the market. 

8. Reviews requests for new positions or reclassifications, recommends ranges, finalizes job descriptions, and assists with creation of salary ranges for the position as required.

9. Assures that RTIS practices and procedures are adhered to consistently, notifying HR Director or Sr. Management of deviations. 

10. Acts in a key supporting capacity for the Reed Tech benefits function, helping to answer benefits related questions and managing leave of absence requests. 

11. Administers the Performance Review/Merit Increase Program, supporting management as needed and assuring process remains on schedule. 

12. Generates HRIS reports to support department and management in planning, costs analysis and provide status updates.

13. Supports employee career development to increase the effectiveness of staff and management in their respective positions.

14. Provides management training as required ensuring a positive employee relations environment.

15. Assists with the development of company policies and procedures.

16. Serves as an HR representative on various company-wide committees as needed. 

17. Provides routine guidance and advice directly to employees as necessary or appropriate.

18. Coordinates and facilitates various co-wide organized functions / activities.

19. Handles various administrative tasks as assigned. 

20. Supports other HR team members with Responds to routine questions regarding employee policies and practices

21. Performs other job related duties as required.


1. Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business, Human Resources or equivalent.

2. Two years related experience in Human Resources.

3. Past experience with the recruitment of candidates 

4. Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently.

5. Excellent organizational, communication, presentation skills

6. Excellent computer skills in word processing, Excel, Power Point and HRIS software. 

7. May be required to travel between facilities.

8. Able to communicate effectively with others
