The Global Process Owner is responsible for defining, developing and implementing a consistent, streamlined, global process, with agreed local flexibility, through the leverage of industry best practice and technology, aligned to RX ‘Global Policies’ and within programme vision, design and deployment timelines.
FOCUS – Quote to Cash (Products, Packages, Pricing, Measurement, Reporting)
 
Background:
Global Business System (GBS) is the wall-to-wall standardisation of key corporate systems and associated business processes across Reed Exhibitions global organisation. It supports and enables strategic convergence of ways of working and replaces a legacy of multiple local systems. This programme is being rolled out as a set of agile work streams accountable for core business processes and their associated applications and aims to deploy the platform across all Reed Exhibitions business units globally. The GBS Sales Solutions team is accountable for all applications and processes related to Sales and the associated Finance processes (accounts receivable, collections etc.), as well as Customer Services and Operations
 
Key responsibilities
  • Translate global processes so the business unit can own their change management and communication flow with other departments to ensure that that the Products, Packages and Price lists are setup accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Working with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) the individual will be expected to be the key strategic owner of quote to cash for the following functions:
    • Products, Packages, Price Lists
    • Special pricing adjustments for RX customers & special pricing scenarios
    • Invoicing schedules
    • Ensure consistency and alignment of global master product lists
  • Global central owner of all standardized sales activity and revenue measurement reporting generated through SFDC and reported through OBIEE. 
  • Partners with individual BUs Data & Analytics/IT teams (including ISG) to identify needs/enhancements for common reporting best practices and standards
  • Defines adoptions metrics during early phase delivery (OnBoarding)
  • Strong understanding of the sales process/behaviours and technical use of the platform.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends and benchmarks across the platform.
  • Provide meaningful information to Global Sales Solutions team which will help guide prioritisation for enhancements/innovation requests from Business Units.
  • Progress Innovation requests through each of the stages in the Innovation process to ensure that Business Unites and Global development teams are aligned towards an decision to move forward with solution development, testing, delivery or business unit change
  • Identifies best practice during innovation assessments, assessing risks in an informed and considered manner and plans for the mitigation of these risks.
  • Work with the technical team to develop robust estimates and manage business expectations around delivery
  • Prepare, present, and regularly distribute project information to team members.
     
    Candidate Profile
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and prioritize requests.
  • High standard of written/oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an aptitude to understanding complex processes and spreadsheets
  • Recent, demonstrable experience of similar roles within large and complex change programs
  • Excellent organizational skills and an aptitude for applying technical knowledge practically.
  • Numerate and competent in data manipulation, integrating data from disparate processes.
  • An investigative mind with very high attention to detail; a structured and independent approach to work; able to workshop ideas collaboratively
  • Must be able to participate in regular global travel
Required
  • Excel intermediate (Ex. V Lookup, Pivot Table etc.)
  • Data Entry skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of Oracle EBS functionality
     
    Nice to have:
  • More 4 Apps (Excel Based Oracle Application)
  • Oracle EBS Data Loader (Excel Based Oracle Application)
  • Experience in maintaining & applying Key Controls
