The Digital Marketing Manager will manage and deliver digital projects and campaigns across the region. You will blend strategic vision with extensive practical experience of devising and delivering effective digital marketing plans across regions and segments.  


You will be responsible for optimising our digital ecosystem, including our revitalised web presence and apps, and then transforming our marketing initiatives into ‘always on’, content-driven acquisition and engagement programs.  You will manage our SEM agency, improve our customer's online experience, capture relevant leads, automate campaigns, use customer data and analytics to track and drive revenue, and amplify our thought leadership programs.


This role will have a key focus on growing Elsevier's leading position in the health content space through effective, aligned digital campaigns


Main Activities and Responsibilities:


Digital Project Management


Planning and delivering Digital strategies across the company supporting the customer lifecycle. Working closely with all departments & countries to ensure the Digital policy and projects are managed effectively for all aspects of the company. To ensure compliance with the regional road map, with a ROI driven priority.


SEM/SEO Agency Management


Manage our agency to make sure they are delivering for our stakeholders. Challenge and drive optimisations on SEM and explore and advise on new opportuinites to use these channels for engagement, awareness and conversion for both revenue and leads


Customer Knowledge & Experience


Understand and optimise the customer experience on web/mobile and apps in order to improve engagement and conversion. 


Reporting & Analysis


Use data and analytics to track and measure and optimise digital performance. Effectively communicate results & insights to other key executives & stakeholders. 


Teamwork & Digital Best Practice


Spend time working with business units, segments, to define their needs. Share initiatives, best practices, problems & resolutions, knowledge in order to encourage results & innovation. To help non-technical people understand how Digital works & performs. Provide support and knowledge on the latest digital techniques.


Requirements:


• An accomplished digital marketer with extensive hands-on experience in Digital marketing, Data and Web Analytics. 

• Experience of managing digital campaigns from start to finish with expertise on all channels inc email, paid, web, mobile etc 

• Minimum 4 years of digital marketing experience in both B2B nd B2C

• Advanced knowledge of SEO and SEM including SEM agency management

• Expertise managing and optimising websites and apps including usability, design, content creation and conversion

• Knowledge of a range of CMS's 

• Applies web analytics preferably Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics to understand and improve customer engagement and conversion

• App marketing and in-product marketing experience desired

• Knowlege of conversion optimisation and using Adobe target or similar A/B testing tools

• Experience managing a budget, forecasting, KPI tracking and reporting

• Experience working on mid to large sized cross-regional digital projects

• Strong passion for and knowledge of technology and digital marketing and able to stay up to date with latest trends

• Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage multiple tasks from concept through implementation, and deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget.

• Fluent in English and preferably one other European language (eg Spanish, French, German)

• Excellent communication skills, connecting team to inside and outside world
