We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Agile Delivery Manager to join our Salt Lake City agile team of high-performing technologists, working together on a cloud-based, enterprise-scale content authoring application platform used by external and internal users. The team works in a highly collaborative agile environment that leverages a strong partnership between product management, product design & user experience, and software engineering & quality test engineering.
  
The Delivery Manger will help the team to set up their working practices, improve delivery efficiency and facilitate agile ceremonies. You will need to bring passion, ingenuity and a servant-leader approach to their work.  You will also be responsible for helping to improve the delivery of our platform through coaching, facilitation and project management within a very fast-moving organization.
 
The Delivery Manager will work closely with product owners, product design (UX/UI), software engineering, quality test engineering and other subject matter experts to ensure the team delivers the right thing at the right time.
                                      
Applicants will have several years of experience in leading Agile teams, be very interested in software development process, be committed to a hands-on role improving the company’s structure, practices and delivery capability. Their aim is to facilitate an environment where the teams within the company can produce their best work for the authoring platform.
 
Experience and Education:
  • 4+ yrs Agile Delivery Management and/or Scrum Manager experience
  • Relevant certifications a plus
 
 Responsibilities:
  • Join an agile team of high-performing technologists working on a cloud-based, enterprise-scale content authoring application platform used by external and internal users
  • Help the team to set up their working practices, improve delivery efficiency and facilitate agile ceremonies
  • Guide the team on how to use Agile practices and values (Scrum & Kanban) to delight customers
  • Ensure a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on learning and problem-solving
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Increase transparency around project successes and failures; share lessons learned
  • Support the Product Owner as needed, including for grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Drive process improvement in macro and micro scale work practices
  • Recognize and champion high-quality code and communication
  • Coordinate interaction between stakeholders, developers and design teams
  • Drive software engineering team actions to build cadence
  • Help to scope the technical and product roadmaps of the teams
  • Help define and deliver project reporting, including team metrics
  • Follow current thinking in agile and lean software development practices
     
     
 
 Technical Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Strong experience working in and championing Agile software development methodologies (Scrum / Kanban)
  • Strong experience with agile work management systems (JIRA preferred)
  • Active experience leveraging collaboration wikis for documentation and knowledge sharing (Confluence preferred)
  • Experience building platforms in concert with UX/UI teams with focus on product design, user interaction models, rapid prototyping, story-boarding, user interface design, iterative user research, data science methods and analytics
  • Experience working as part of a larger, geographically dispersed team
  • Some travel required (likely no more than 5% after initial onboarding)
