We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Buyer Programme Executive to work across our portfolio of events. The role is really varied so you need to be great at multi-tasking and happy to work on multiple projects at the same time. You must be very organised and fast at picking things up as well as being great with people and customers as we are looking to ensure that our customers feel really valued.

Key responsibilities

  • Run matchmaking programs across the in-cosmetics group events such as Speed Networking, R&D and/or Marketing Tours (liaising with the relevant consultants) and Buyer Programs [researching, identifying, qualifying and recruiting high quality buyers]
  • Research, build knowledge/data of the relevant buyer population and define the targeted attendee groups 
  • Proactively undertake desk and telephone research to increase the number of identified buyers and drive quality buyer participation across the events
  • Connect exhibitors to the right attendees based on buyer-seller needs.
  • Build, develop, and maintain key customer relationships through phone calls, e-mails and face-to-face visits to understand buying needs, trends, etc...
  • Responsible for the successful at-event delivery of programs and post-event tracking and reporting
  • Identify new features/offers and programs to address targeted attendee challenges, enhance at-show experience and ultimately drive attendance to shows
  • Liaise with Marketing Managers for an integrated campaign and data build strategy
  • Liaise with official travel partners on buyers travel/accommodation arrangements
  • Work closely with sales to ensure pertinent information is shared and understood by sales team for use as a valuable selling tool
  • Effectively manage allocated budgets and drive cost efficiencies where possible

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable on the phone and face-to-face with clients.
  • Enthusiastic team player who can work collaboratively in an international environment, with an aptitude for networking and building relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Excellent database/IT skills, especially Excel and data analysis
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • A flexible approach to working methods and hours of attendance and willingness to travel to the in-cosmetics events.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure with great attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages (especially French, Spanish, Korean) would be advantageous but is not necessary
