As the Asia liaison for a range of global strategic accounts, you will be responsible for working with other global account managers to deliver on the global account strategy for named Strategic Accounts. You will help to accelerate the journey with towards value-based selling for our market-leading benchmark pricing data services, deliver the business sales strategy and develop go-to-market approaches for new, high value analytical services and consulting within ICIS most valued accounts.  


Key Accountabilities:

  • As a member of the global Strategic Account sales force, you will use your experience to both deliver your own targets as well as to be the local point of presence for the wider team.
  • You will be responsible for building relationships and growing revenue within a named group of international accounts whose head office/primary Strategic Account Manager is not in Asia. 
  • You will support the primary account manager in designing and delivering the global go-to-market strategy by:
  • Analysing performance and forecasting future performance of accounts
  • Building/developing long term senior level relationships within the Asia region
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to maximise value from continuous improvements in our core services within the Strategic Accounts.
  • Ensuring strong day-to-day relationships and supporting CSC increasing the take up of the dashboard.

Industry competencies:

To be successful in this role you will:


  • Have at least 7-8 years of account management experience, ideally within the petrochemical segment and a focus on services or subscription-based sales.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of all ICIS products across both Petrochemicals and Energy.
  • Be able to carry a conversation with the senior executives on trends within the petrochemical/energy sectors.
  • Have the ability to travel within the region for client meetings.
  • The ability to speak one or more Asian language (Japanese, Korean, Thai etc) a plus.
