Senior Marketing Development Manager

Senior Marketing Development Manager, EMERGIA is responsible for the development and alignment of strategic marketing plans and activities across the Research business (Academic, government, corporate markets) for Easter Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America (EMERGIA) markets. You are working in tight collaboration with local Customer Marketing team and other stakeholders.

You will report to the Vice President, Marketing Development and this position is in Amsterdam

Your responsibilities:
  • Work across different marketing teams to ensure execution effectiveness through regular communications, process improvement and process governance to minimise repetitiveness, delay and inconsistency.  First point of contact for central teams to drive localisation effort and provide local requirements back to central team.
  • In partnership with Regional Marketing Director, work across EMERGIA markets and different marketing and sales stakeholders to facilitation, develop, align and track country-level marketing plan across the Research business.
  • Collaborate across teams to capture market insight through research projects, segmentation exercise and competitive analysis, in a systemic and cross-regional manner, and translate insight into marketing action.
You will bring:
  • incumbent should have at least 5 years strategic marketing experience in most of these markets, covering value proposition, competitive analysis, market segmentation, etc. 
  • strong strategic thinking and market insight to localise and influence global programs to draw market relevance. 
  • As the first point of contact between Research Marketing & Customer Marketing teams, incumbent must be highly collaborative with superb communications and problem-solving skills. 
  • University or Post-graduate Degree (preferably in Marketing, Communication) with 5+ years of B2B strategic marketing experience.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organisational objectives.
  • Experience working in a highly matrix and multinational company with remote stakeholders
  • Proactive, detailed oriented with strong analytical skills.  Be able to translate strategic insight into operational excellence.
  • Energised by fast-paced environment, unafraid of complex organisation structure and able to go above & beyond the call of duty.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills required, Spanish-speaking strong-preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
