Sales Operations Lead - Accuity - Evanston - Immediate Need!

We are looking for our next Sales Operations Lead. This newly crafted role will lead our sales data team in a new direction as we look to transform our data offering to real time and forecasting business intelligence that will enable our growing business to define and guide strategically meaningful initiatives. You will nurture our new business intelligence program, collaborating across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Legal and beyond to ultimately steer the business and improve sales efficiency.


You will have an analytical as well as strategic approach and be highly reciprocal in your outlook as you work closely across the business. As leader of your team, you will build consensus and demonstrate real business impact for this new business area. The role includes ownership of:

  • Sales Intelligence & Insights
  • Compensations Administration
  • Forecasting & Pipeline reporting
  • Reporting & Dashboarding
  • Data Governance

Sales Operations defines and drives strategically important initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness across our sales teams.


Key Responsibilities


You will work closely with the Head of Global Sales Operations aligning global sales strategies and ownership of reporting and commission calculation. As well as take responsibility for:

  • Provide analytical proficiency as well as coming up with ideas for continuous improvement of sales operations and executing on them
  • Supply analysis of sales metrics and forecasting in light of the sales plan
  • Lead change management through the Sales Department
  • Facilitate the annual territory design, planning and quota allocation process with the sales force in accordance with the policies and tools established
  • Review attainment trends for segments and regions and reviews results with sales management with insights designed to drive productivity and efficiency in the selling process.
  • Continuous improvement to metrics, including identifying new metrics, identifying / optimizing new tech for reporting new metrics, Vendor Selection and system Improvements
  • Provide the required reporting, analytics & business intelligence to support strategic & tactical initiatives.
  • Support the annual compensation plan design and communication to ensure correct plan types are allocated to the sales reps
  • Master data management within the sales domain

Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, CS, Economics or Finance)
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role, Statistical modelling, hypothesis testing, etc
  • Previous experience with a Sales organization (e.g., in a Sales Ops role) or a background in a management consulting
  • Previous experience of BI tools (e.g. Tableau, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and Salesforce.com reporting
Skills:
  • Experience in leading multinational and remote teams
  • Focused leader able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities. Strong multi-tasking skills handling multiple projects and contending priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to influence peers, cross-functional teams and leadership, and unite them around a single initiative
  • Keen collaborator with the ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, across multiple locations and time zones and unite peers around a single initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to distil large data sets into actionable insights that guide business value
  • Ability to craft and present data in a visual format and explain the insights clearly and concisely
  • Excellent Excel skills – ability to clean, blend, and prep large quantities of data
