This role is responsible for the delivery of investment projects across a strategic theme.  The position will project-manage by working closely with all aspects of the development community: Product Manager, Engineering, Architecture, Commercial, Marketing, customer Support etc. Additional responsibilities include building development road maps, managing project schedules, and collaborating across teams to launch a new digital product to the marketplace. 

 

As with any of our projects, the key to this role is deriving business values and outcomes from the investment. The successful candidate will have a high level of focus in this area.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the project team to drive business outcomes
  • Co-ordinate different workstreams to achieve outcomes
  • Resolve the risks and issues that present a barrier to successful delivery of the oiutcomes
  • Foster excellent communication across the team
  • Escalate challenges to senior management where necessary
  • Drive accountability with the project team
  • Develop excellent working relationships with all project stakeholders
  • Ensure delivery teams are on track and delivering as anticipated
  • Manage all phases of the project through the Product Development process
  • Interface with other technical personnel and product managers to finalize requirements
  • Define key performance parameters and create regular variance reports to track progress
  • Define and manage the project budget
  • Create business cases
  • Perform data analysis relevant to project tasks
  • Request resource demand and review resource allocation for projects
  • Maintain ownership of and accountability for the project schedule
  • Effectively communicate project status — including schedule variances and mitigation options
  • Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Experience and Education:

  • 12+ years Project Management experience, with some background in digital product development and agile
  • BS Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience is desirable.

  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
  • A good understanding of web analytics and data driven product development
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Experience coordinating team work flow in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience collaborating with others in IT management roles to deliver shared results.
  • Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills
  • Strong delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
  • An ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Awareness of the challenges of multi-national projects and the approaches to solving them.
