Marketing Strategy Manager, Traveler Services – FlightGlobal – Portland

Job Purpose:

 

You’re driven to meet targets and design a better B2B customer experience informed by your deep industry understanding of driving forces and market dynamics fueled by technology advances throughout analytics, technology and travel. You build strong relationships and enjoy collaborating to develop programs and plans based on studying your audience and uncovering what they really need, not just what they say they need.

 

You get excited when Sales and Product ask for help in reaching the customer in the right way. You’re known for looking to intertwine brand and value prop, customer problem and solution at every chance you get. You are strong in partnering with stakeholder leaders in order to shape future strategies and priorities.

 

And of course, you care about closing the loop and want to analyze, optimize and report on the marketing impact to the sales pipeline and customer engagement.

 

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

 

Drive results with data-driven planning:

 

• Works in partnership with product development team, aligns marketing and Go To Market strategies with audience needs and sales and product revenue targets
• Drives education and ongoing adoption of sales enablement across stakeholders and within marketing
• Drives partnerships between product and sales to identify opportunity sizing by revenue and effort
• Develops and communicates industry insights and trends to be integrated throughout the organization

 

Develop programs:

 

• Designs and builds end-to-end sales enablement process
• Lead efforts to instill better use of research and customer feedback in future product development and upgrades.
• Works closely with Marketing Ops and across functional groups to explore new technology integrations that better the customer experience while exposing more of the customer journey

 

Tailors Go To Market Strategy to the customer:

 

• Crafts value propositions and portfolio messaging to be incorporated into Sales Enablement materials and customer-facing materials
• Maintains and communicates market landscapes, SWOT, competitive insights
• Co-creates plans and programs with Customer Engagement and Brand teammates for product adoption and engagement
• Co-creates plans and programs with Demand Gen and Brand teammates to fill the funnel and nurture leads into opportunities

• Commercial and IT/SaaS acumen
• Account-based marketing experience
• Lead a cross-functional team
• Multi-channel marketing skills
• Write compelling messaging and demonstrate impact
• Educational training and presentation skills
• Planning and organizational skills
    
Experience Required:

 

• Demonstrable experience in developing customer communities and/or supporting sales initiatives within a global business
• Excellent communication skills to convey compelling stories both written and verbal
• Part of a B2B IT product delivery or marketing organization
• Voice of the Customer work or customer journey mapping is a plus
• Ideal candidate would have experience working in the travel/airline/aerospace sector.
