Job Purpose
• The role will have global responsibility for the planning, management and delivery of ICIS marketing events.
• You will work on coordinating and planning the marketing events strategy globally in order to optimise effectiveness of our events as a market engagement channel.
• Working closely with regional marketers and stakeholders you will create the annual events schedule and select which events best deliver on the commercial objectives for the region and/or market.
• You will manage the marketing plans and execution for events, in collaboration with the regional marketers.  Working closely with the ICIS paid events marketing team, and the marketing operations team, you will identify opportunities for improving the operational effectiveness of events and associated campaigns.
• A confident communicator, you will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and representing the marketing function.  Day to day, you will frequently work cross-functionally, engaging with the sales, editorial and analyst teams.
• You will report on and analyse the success of events to inform future plans.  You will also plan resources to ensure effort and investment are allocated strategically, and are delivering the desired results.
 
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Customer focus: 
• Use customer insight and an understanding of our audiences to craft messaging for marketing communications, graphics and collateral used at events.
• Ensure consistency of brand and messaging across all marketing communications and events collateral.
• Use events to promote and represent ICIS thought-leadership.  
 
Business delivery: 
• Coordinate the events marketing strategy globally, liaising with regional marketers and stakeholders.
• Create marketing plans and manage budget for events.
• Oversee execution of marketing plans and events logistics.  Identify opportunities for operational optimisation.
• Ensure that speakers, agendas and content for events support commercial strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with the paid events marketing team to maximise cross-promotional opportunities for target audiences.
 
Marketing campaign activity:
• Use integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness of our events/events presence.  Select appropriate channels based on the audience.
• Ensure that relevant marketing collateral and thought-leadership content is promoted at events.
• Work with the sales team to evaluate results and make adjustments to future activity based on insight. 
 
Reporting and analysis:
• Track and report results against KPIs.
• Use insight and analysis from data to drive decision-making and steer planning.
• Regularly review events plan to ensure alignment with commercial priorities.
 
Manage communications:
• Ensure that the marketing tactics and messaging present a consistent brand experience.
• Report on results of activity to key stakeholders.
