Lead Project Manager – Permanent

The Lead Project Manager will be supporting a growing team of PMs to implement best practice processes and collaborate with other Project Leads to improve PM processes and collaboration with other area of the business.


The role will also drive a portfolio of moderate to complex projects to completion while building development road maps and project schedules, and collaborating to resolve issues. This role has active involvement in supporting multiple strategic projects


Lead Project Manager Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Project Managers with moderate to complex projects.
  • Depending on scope and complexity, manage highly complex projects and some moderate projects each year
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Support team members to ensure Proagrica projects are delivered to agreed timescale and resource estimation
  • Support Operations Manager with resource forecasting processes to ensure the PM team is capable for future business
  • Support the sales process through BA and scoping phases in order to determine delivery time scales and provide resource requirement estimations
  • Drive a culture of cost management, use/implement PM tools to ensure costs are monitored and reported to SLT
  • Develop and maintain the project management process to support evolving business requirements
  • Develop positive working relationships across our business
  • Ensure that during the quotation process all timings and calculations are accurate and considered
  • Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations
  • Ability to partner with other project stakeholders to resolve issues and to mitigate project impacts
  • Facilitate client meetings, analysing and documenting business requirements and ability to gain acceptance with the client
  • Present solutions to client at senior level

Technical Skills:

  • Understands company technology stack at a high level, for the delivered solutions.
  • Is proficient in reviewing project plans of team members
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Is able to identifying knowledge transfer opportunities to improve project team understanding of Proagrica solutions
  • Is able to identify opportunities for solution re-use across customer products.
  • Learns about new technologies to support new product development efforts.

The successful candidate will have a successful track record as a Project Manager delivering data centric applications for enterprise scale customers. A detailed approach to documentation of complex application requirements through to the management of solution delivery using PM tools such as Jira is essential.


The candidate should be able to demonstrate how they have managed complex customer projects, ideally using teams of greater than 4 members including development, PM and support resources.


The Lead Project manager will manage both technical and non-technical team members so must have the ability to discuss and support PMs delivering a wide variety of solutions. They will have experience in delivering web and mobile business management systems, use of JIRA, as well as reporting and analytics.


The role will also require working with clients in different time zones, predominantly US (which is usually managed in normal working hours) and Australia (occasional calls or emails outside of normal hours)
