The Nursing Health Education (NHE) Analytics team is a dynamic team of engineers and analysts capturing and analyzing user behavior within our portfolio of education products which then drives the development of new capabilities, informs our product teams on roadmap development, and powers a continuous build-measure-learn cycle in pursuit of excellence.


Expansion of this team means we are now looking for a very talented software engineer with strong problem-solving and engineering skills to deliver actionable insights through the analytics. The purpose of this role will be to support the development of reference application(s) that demonstrate the use of analytics within a product.  This person will have experience of well vetted and supported tools that simplify code and improve testability.  Experience with modular, component-based architectures such as React, Ember, Vue, and Angular is important to success in this role.


The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy in a collaborative, supportive and diverse environment, helping the team understand problems and deliver appropriate solutions based on their experience and technical expertise.


Preferred experience and technology requirements:

Must haves:  

  • 2+ years of software development experience, building new projects from the ground up
  • 2+ years of experience with Web technology stack (JavaScript, HTML, DOM, CSS)
  • 2+ years of experience component-based architectures such as React, Ember, Vue and Angular
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Understanding of best practices in web security, usability, and accessibility
  • Ability to be self-motivated and multi-task when necessary
  • Desire to continually learn new things and share knowledge with the team.
  • Nice to haves: 
  • A background in healthcare technology and systems integration is a plus
  • Able to work full stack (Node.js/Express) as well as build tools such as Grunt and Webpack
  • Experience integrating web analytics platforms with web application.
