Online editor and coordinator agtech and precision farming

 

Location, Doetinchem, the Netherlands.
Function: Full time.

Proagrica, specialising in leading brands for agriculture, is looking for a talented, multi-media editor to create and maintain a strong presence for its global brand Future FarmingThis is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for online media, editing, writing, agricultural machinery and technology to take our machinery journalism to new heights.

 

This is an exciting time in the world of farming, with new technology transforming the way we grow crops and raise livestock. Future Farming is becoming the leading brand in the field of precision farming. The brand has a global reach and is widely read and highly respected. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated editor and coordinator who can build on this success.

 
Your responsibilities:
  • You will coordinate and create engaging content for the website.
  • You will make newsletters and update the social media channels of Future Farming.
  •  In addition, you will support the Dutch agricultural brands Boerderij.nl and Trekker.nl with your multimedia skills and agricultural technology knowledge.
  • You will work together with other editors, online marketing experts and freelancers to make sure the online presence regarding agtech and precision farming is looking and performing the best it can.
  • You feel comfortable in making online content as interesting as possible for the target audience, enrich the content with video, images and interactive graphs, and create buzz around the articles in the newsletter and social media channels to help improve search rankings and user engagement.
  • As a spin-off of these activities, your content will enhance our print magazines like Future Farming, Trekker and Boerderij as well. You will also likely be involved in events in your field of expertise.


Your profile:
  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in journalism or agriculture (or both).
  • A genuine interest in, and good working knowledge of, agricultural machinery and precision agriculture.
  • Attention to detail and excellent writing and oral skills in the Dutch and English language.
  • Experience in online media and the use of CMS systems is a plus.
  • Experience and interest in social media.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to write and edit compelling, insightful news, features and opinion pieces that keep readers hooked, meeting tight deadlines.
