Reed Tech, a LexisNexis Company (a subsidiary of RELX) has a Customer Service Clerk opening. the Customer Service Clerk performs or assists in performance of a variety of duties related to the processing of service orders.

         Retrieve copies of Patent and Trademarks from the U.S. Patent & Trademark office.

         Order, monitor and pick up Patent & Trademark file histories from the USPTO.

         Pre-assemble incoming file histories to ensure it is complete and in proper order for copying.

         Photocopy Patent & Trademark file history files at the Jurisdiction.

         Assemble patent & Trademark file histories for delivery to customers.

         Order, retrieve and prepare certified Patent & Trademark orders.

         Review completed work to insure it is complete and correct prior to sending to customer.

         Enter accurate statuses of file histories into FH Tracking system in a timely manner.

         Contact Jurisdiction regarding file histories that are located in the USPTO technical centers (groups) and retrieve as soon as possible.

         Prepare courier packages for delivery of information to customers.

         Fax requested information to customers within specified timeframe.

         Answer incoming calls professionally and courteously.

         Maintain appropriate records and prepare production reports as needed.

         Monitor developments at the Jurisdiction and report to Manager.

         Perform clerical functions such as data entry, faxing, photocopying and mailing as necessary to processes.

         Performs other job related duties as required.

 

         High school graduate or equivalent.

         One year experience in a customer service or clerical production environment.

         Extensive knowledge of public records search and filing or combination of education and experience equivalent.

         Excellent knowledge of business English, grammar and spelling.

         Excellent communication skills.

         Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

         Strong clerical abilities including data entry skills.

         Ability to use PC and software applications.

         Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

         Required to walk, sit, stand and use hands.

         Must be able to use arms and hands to reach and lift patents.

         Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
