Purpose of the Role:


Reporting to the HR Director of Southeast Asia, the HR Advisor role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high caliber end to end HR service and management of the relationships with an allocated client group. There may also be some administration duties as this role will act as a standalone position with business partnering duties. The incumbent will be required to manage mid-level Regional and Local HR initiatives in a compliant and disciplined manner, coach/consult all staff across the organization as well as develop and implement HR projects relating to onboarding up to off-boarding. There is an expectation that the HRA will acquire and maintain an effective level of commercial acumen and literacy about the business, it’s short to mid-range plans (operational and strategic), its culture and its competition.


 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead or co-lead people programs/initiatives
  • Effectively manage staff relations, grievances and disciplinary.
  • Update headcount, recruitment and other HR reports submitted on a regular basis.
  • Maintain data from exit interview, turnover statistics, absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs and supervisory issues
  • Assist people manager on performance management process and talent review process
  • Involved in various HR projects and initiatives to promote our employees’ development and ability to meet business challenges in the marketplace.
  • Managing hiring/extension/resignation processes including Contract administration, new hire orientation, resignation procedure, including Fixed Term employees and temporary staff.
  • Review and administer HR procedures, processes and reporting
  • Maintenance of p-files, policies, employee’s handbook and HR documents. 


 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or HR
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), People Soft and any other HR systems
  • Knowledge of the Employment Legislation in the SEA countries especially Malaysia and Singapore

  • 3 to 5 years of HR generalist experience gained from MNC. You will be a proactive and result oriented individual. Strong ability to take ownership and work independently.

  • Knowledge and familiarity with all facets of HR including, Recruitment and Selection, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Wellbeing, Employee Orientation, HR data analysis, Payroll, Compensation and Benefits.

  • Pleasant disposition; Ability to communicate with employees at all levels.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (essential).
