Director, Marketing

This position is responsible for managing a team of marketing professionals in a segment-based matrix organization to develop and implement the marketing, brand, and digital initiatives focusing primarily on revenue-generating programs.


      As the Director of Marketing your key roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a motivating change agent to reposition Marketing within the organization into a digital first, metric-driven marketing function
  • Develop a corporate marketing strategy for brand and product marketing linked to financial targets, focused on accelerated demand generation for LNC products and services  
  • Support the segment leaders in the development of their segment specific marketing strategies and ensure alignment with the overall brand and corporate market strategy
  • Lead the executive reporting and marketing analytics functions across all segments
  • Build a creative thought leadership program to position LNC as a trusted partner in the Canadian legal market
  • Optimize the execution of digital marketing initiatives to optimize lead generation
  • Drive continuous improvement across the department by focusing on efficiencies and higher-value activities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including Sales, Product, Strategy and Content
  • Where appropriate, closely track, performance manage, refresh and upgrade talent to re-energize and unlock the full potential of the department

Basic Qualifications

  • A university degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in B2B recurring revenue (subscription based) business, preferably the legal, content, media or SaaS industry
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization while directly managing 5-10 direct reports
