Ontario Reports Advertising Sales opportunity 

Published by the Law Society of Ontario through LexisNexis Canada, Ontario Reports, Third Series provides, in full text, leading cases decided at all levels of Ontario courts.  It is published 51 times a year and over 58,000 copies are delivered electronically to members of the Ontario Law Society each week.  Over the past 5 years, there has been steady growth in advertising sales.  Law firms, corporations and academic institutions are always looking for best ways to reach their audience for classified ads, career ads, announcements as well as specialized directories for expert witnesses and alternative dispute resolution.

LexisNexis Canada has an immediate opening for an advertising sales representative for the Ontario Reports.  Applicants must possess excellent communication skills and be highly organized. Applicants must be capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment handling daily tasks including but not limited to prospecting and developing new customer relationships, persuasively communicating strategies for meeting customer needs with the benefits of advertising in the Ontario Reports and ensuring customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer’s account in cooperation with production, marketing and finance staff.

We’re looking for a talented, passionate go-getter looking for a position in sales.

We offer a base salary, commission and bonuses.


Required Skills:


• 2 years advertising sales experience

• Candidate must be detail oriented, articulate and with strong communication skills

• Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills.

• Responsible for revenue generation and meeting sales targets.

• Establish, maintain and grow relationships with clients and agencies.

• Develop new leads by cold calling.

• Prepare compelling and competitive proposals and presentations.

•  Manage sale cycle through internal billing system as well as to other internal departments.

• Oversee projects from start to finish and ensure clients’ satisfaction.

• Enhanced computer skills
