Purpose of Role:

The VP Sales Americas is the senior commercial and strategic leader in the world’s largest petrochemical market. The role is responsible for delivering profitable growth and exceeding targets for both sales revenue and new sales through positive planning, direction, execution and management of all Sales personnel within both North and South America to capture market share.


The VP Sales Americas is responsible for defining, developing and delivering on short- and long-term commercial strategies to address key market opportunities and differentiate I.C.I.S, enhancing customer and prospect engagement and results via go-to-market excellence. As a Senior Executive in our Americas business the role will provide a key leadership role across the business, input into business strategy and identify and nurture key industry alliances, partnerships and acquisition opportunities. As a leader in the region, responsibilities include embedding customer-centricity across I.C.I.S and being the customer champion, driving insight and best practices across the organisation.

Key Accountabilities: 
  • Responsible for exceeding financial and wider business objectives
  • Creating a high-performance sales organisation across the Americas that will differentiate I.C.I.S via commercial excellence to capture market share and deliver customer value
  • Hire, lead, develop, inspire and motivate the commercial team to deliver against regional, business and team objectives by role modelling world class behaviours and hold’s self and others to account
  • Deployment of resource into areas of best impact to execute on market strategy
  • Increase both customer and employee satisfaction, engagement, mission impact, loyalty, innovation and revenue.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer workflow, market trends, competitive activity, opportunity and threats

 Skills and Behaviours:

  • Senior Executive Experience in strategic planning and commercial execution

  • A strong track record of driving growth in new markets to exceed financial and other business objectives

  • Experienced in working cross-functionally to create high performance organisations

  • Well versed in creating and developing sales strategies to maximise go-to-market resource and execute against market opportunity

  • Extensive experience of M&A and detailed C level commercial negotiations

  • Passionate about a world-class customer experience
  • Proven track record of leading large sales organisations in value based, customer-centric buying methodologies and exceeding objectives and financial goals

  • Proven at identifying, hiring and developing high performing talent and managing under performance

  • Champion diversity and representation across all levels of the business as well as leading proactive succession planning and talent management to improve innovation and decision making

  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form and ability to collaborate, influence and manage remotely to work with other business functions and geographies

  • Ensure best practice and sales governance and adherence of self and team to all relevant policies and procedures

  • Curious about everything, willing to ask questions and challenge the status quo in order to provide better customer, employee and business outcomes

  • Driven, passionate, motivated individual
  • Strong negotiation and experienced at C level engagement and public speaking
