The Elsevier Investment PMO is focused on delivering new products, reaching new markets, and optimizing internal processes and systems. It is critical in ensuring that the business drives value from its investment spend. We are passionate about project delivery and the creation of lasting business and customer value. We work closely with Product Management and Technology to provide leadership on portfolio selection and prioritisation, project/program delivery, change management and benefits management. We take a holistic and evolving view of how to do this best, drawing upon the latest insights in Agile delivery, Lean project governance and data driven product development.

 

Job summary:

As a project coordinator, you will be responsible for the support and administration of large complex investment projects and the delivery of smaller projects within the PMO function. This role is essential to the successful delivery of projects and provides an excellent chance to progress your career within Project Management.

 

Experience and Education:

  • Exposure to PMO function / Project Management knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Administrative skills
  • knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Solid sense of when risks, issues or blockers require escalation, and the confidence to escalate
  • A focus on and an ability to deliver continuous improvement/Kaizen
  • Understanding of contemporary project delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working with co-located and distributed delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Experience collaborating with others in IT management roles to deliver shared results
  • A results-oriented outlook with the ability to prioritize and deliver key initiatives.
  • Ability to partner with other project stakeholders to resolve issues and to mitigate project risks
