Based at:                   Richmond, UK, Surrey

 We have an opportunity to join the Deployment and Support Team, which is currently working transitioning our 500 website to a new platform. You will be providing technical and functional support on a digital suite of applications as part of a cross-functional team in an agile environment working towards a DevOps culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of support tasks within the support team

• Respond to incidents, investigate root cause and follow their lifecycle through to resolution

• Adopt a pro-active approach to the all incidents and problems raised

• Ensure customers are updated and tickets are managed with the correct level of information

• Interact with surrounding support teams to consult on issues

• Address a variety of ad-hoc queries and run various reports

• Monitor data interfaces/scheduled jobs to ensure that all systems are running issue free

• On-call for priority 1 tickets raised out of hours, this is on a rota basis

• Training team members as appropriate and end users as per business requirements

Ideal candidate profile:

• Have a firm understanding of web technology and digital services

• Have skills in Backend and Front-End Web UI development, with an eye for detail.

• Able to use a depth and breadth of experience to support technical issues

• Enjoy solving problems, thinking analytically, taking action and feeling responsible for delivering results.

• A people person; must be highly communicative, open, a team player and learning from people with different skills, backgrounds and perspectives

• Previous experience in Application Support

• Proven experience of managing incidents through to resolution or escalation

• C# and ASP.Net, MVC, RESTful WebApis - Programming/debugging

• SQL Server knowledge and strong TSQL skills

• Experience in front-end web development. JavaScript(JSON/XML), CSS and modern JavaScript Frameworks (such as ReactJS, or Angular) and Node.JS

• Working knowledge of web site related technologies, including web servers/hosting, internet protocols and other standards (e.g. FTP, SFTP etc.)

• Experience of agile best practices (SCRUM)

• Ideally AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), Java and JEE

• Demonstrable skills in working with Web APIs, ideally through Apigee API Gateway, or similar and exposure to GraphQL

• Desirable Cloud and network awareness with knowledge of AWS, Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, DNS, CDNs and WAFs

• Ideally, experience with Event Driven Architectures and message Queues (such as SQS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ and Amazon SNS)

• Desirable ITIL best practice on incident and problem management
