Sr. Director Market Management

As the Sr. Director of Market Management you will interface with customers and Sales to strategically prioritize our product roadmap needs, and ultimately launch products to market which covers go-to-market strategy, training the sales team, building pricing strategies and ultimately launching the product.  You will represent the priorities to the central Product Development team and ensure products meet market need.  You will serve to address customer questions on broad product vision and meet with customers to respond to feedback on gaps or usability.  In addition, you will recommend building or buying new products, and developing business cases accordingly. The Sr. Director of Market Management will also directly own Law School-specific products like our learning management system, loyalty site, faculty tools, etc that are not centrally managed.


Develop and execute Segment Management strategy for a specific market area. Participate in developing the short and long range operating objectives for the segment. 

  • Facilitate action to accomplish market area strategy and revenue goals by working in a matrix across the organization (finance, solution lines, marketing, sales, pricing, etc) 
  • Work in conjunction with broader marketing organization to direct the development of marketing programs designed to drive revenue in Market Area. Provide input into an overall marketing plan to achieve maximum revenue growth in support of the LN legal segment strategy. 
  • Accountable for revenue objectives in the specific market area. 
  • Partner with sales and pricing teams to assist with account negotiation process, potentially including exceptions, strategy, pricing, product bundling, etc. 
  • Responsible for ensuring through the market area strategy, the appropriate product portfolio mix and appropriate positioning. Provide insight for new product concepts based on market area input and existing product modifications in line with the market area needs. 
  • Review and monitor the market area financial performance on a continuing basis, including risks/opportunities and work to adjust plans and priorities appropriately by balancing near/mid-terms business conditions with longer term priorities. 
  • Direct the analysis for specific near term market opportunities determined to be of major importance to the market area and/or overall Large Law Segment. 
  • Develop and recommend sales channel strategy utilizing market research and other relevant data. 
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within the market area of responsibility. 
  • Works with pricing team to develop processes, recommend pricing actions, and creation of promotional programs in support of segment strategy and revenue plan. 
  • Use fact-based methodology to prioritize LexisNexis product set within the assigned market area.


  •  MBA or equivalent professional achievement required
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years related technical and professional experience. 
  • Skills required include business acumen, strategic planning, creativity, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical abilities and outstanding communication skills. 
  • Sales experience/knowledge a strong plus.
  • The ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
