Provide the strategic and tactical direction for the Corporate Legal segment serving in-house legal, tax and compliance professionals. Define the strategy, goals, and objectives for the segment and facilitate actions in the accomplishment of those goals. Ensure the maximum revenue growth for the Corporate Legal segment.

 
Accountabilities
  1. Develop and execute Segment Management strategy for Corporate Legal.  Participate in developing the short- and long-range operating objectives for the segment. 
  2. Project manage key business initiatives and facilitate action to accomplish Corporate Legal strategy and revenue goals by working in a matrix across the organization (finance, solution lines, marketing, sales, pricing, etc.)
  3. Work in conjunction with the broader organization to direct the development of programs designed to drive revenue in Corporate Legal.  Provide input into an overall plan to achieve maximum revenue growth in support of the LN legal segment strategy.
  4. Accountable for revenue objectives in Corporate Legal.
  5. Partner with sales and pricing teams to assist with account negotiation process, potentially including exceptions, strategy, pricing, product bundling, etc.
  6. Responsible for ensuring through Corporate Legal strategy, the appropriate product portfolio mix and appropriate positioning. Provide insight for new product concepts based on input and existing product modifications in line with Corporate Legal’s needs.
  7. Gain competitive insights, with data collection from the sales team, and review of competitor's strategy. Make recommendations on how we can win.
  8. Review and monitor Corporate Legal’s financial performance on a continuing basis, including risks/opportunities and work to adjust plans and priorities appropriately by balancing near/mid-term business conditions with longer term priorities.
  9. Direct the analysis for specific near-term market opportunities determined to be of major importance to LN and/or overall Corporate Legal Segment.
  10. Develop and recommend sales channel strategy utilizing market research and other relevant data.
  11. Establish and maintain appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within Corporate Legal’s area of responsibility.
  12. Work with the pricing team to develop processes, recommend pricing actions, and to create promotional programs in support of segment strategy and revenue plan.
  13. Use fact-based methodology to prioritize LexisNexis product set within the Corporate Legal segment. 


Qualifications
  1. Requires an MBA or equivalent professional achievement.
  2. Requires a minimum of 5 years related technical and professional experience.
  3. Skills required include business acumen, strategic planning, creativity, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical abilities and outstanding communication skills. Sales experience/knowledge a strong plus.  
  4. The ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
