The Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Research Leader (RL) Marketing and will be responsible for leading the organization, design and delivery of integrated marketing programs which include online and offline activities aimed at driving new customer acquisition and brand awareness. He/she will set the digital strategy and plans for RL online presences to drive awareness and acquisition of RLs as well as generate demand in partnership with Solution Marketing Team.  He/she will also be accountable for management and tracking of the RL marketing budget associated with these efforts and lead a team of two.

Integrated Marketing Program Management

◦Leading cross-functional teams to concept and manage marketing programs

◦Organize design and delivery of integrated marketing programs online and offline activities aimed at driving new customer acquisition and brand awareness

◦Ensure lead and revenue targets are met and where possible, exceeded.

◦In collaboration with Marketing Program Management, solution marketing and audience marketing, develop channel strategy for Events Marketing, Email Marketing, and Online Advertising channels and determine/ allocate resources, time, and budget required to meet strategic and programatic goals.



Insights, Segmentation, Impact Tracking

◦Deliver ongoing reporting and analysis per digital execution.

◦Utilize analysis to continually optimize programs and campaigns.

◦Analyze information (conversion rates & velocity) to detect breakdowns in the digital marketing and sales process.

◦Leverage internal campaign management tools and various other BI databases to track the performance of major campaigns. Identify and incorporate best practices to optimize measurement efforts including expertise on data issues that impact analysis.


Strategic Oversight
◦Set the digital strategy and plans for Research Leader online presences to drive awareness and acquisition of Research Leaders in partnership with Solution Marketing Team

◦Develop strategy to create innovative integrated campaigns designed to maximize benefits of legacy programs with digital tactics that drive new customer acquisition and brand awareness

◦Utilize optimal web platforms and tools in alignment with Elsevier technology teams (where required).

◦Ensure recurring reviews of strategy and plan to ensure lead generation, revenue and awareness levels are on track to meet targets.

◦Coordinate content delivery and creation in light of program performance goals.

◦Manage budget allocation, tracking and escalation when necessary


Vendor Selection and Management

◦In line with digital strategy and integrated marketing plans coordinate primary vendors needed to deliver on program KPOs

◦Collaborate with RL team to select and manage vendors
