This is a full-time editorial position.  Our preference is for a candidate based at the Cell Press headquarters in Cambridge, MA, USA.  However, we are also open to candidates who would be located in our London, Amsterdam, Beijing, or Shanghai offices.

(2) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
(3) Proven strong and global research networks and connections
(4) Broad scientific interest in science and publishing
(5) Critical thinking and the willingness to learn and absorb new areas of research
(6) The ability to work successfully both independently and in a diverse global team

How to apply:

Please submit:
  • A resume and a cover letter explaining your interest in the position.
  • A selection of 5 recently published articles from other journals that you feel would have enhanced Joule if they had been published in Joule, giving a brief rationale for your choice.
  • A brief discussion (<500 words) on what you consider to be the most pressing research questions in the field of energy research.

Applications will be considered in strict confidence, and will be considered on a rolling basis.

An assessment or business case could be part of our selection procedure. A pre-employment screening will be part of our recruitment procedure.
