JOB SUMMARY:
The Agenda Festival is a consumer facing event specializing action sports, lifestyle and fashion alongside music, art, food, education and more.  The Sales Manager is a “player/coach” position - responsible sales team oversight, sales plan strategy and implementation, as well as direct sales responsibility for Agenda Festival.  Works closely with management team to forecast and execute on the sales strategy and budget to achieve goals.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Achieve 100% of sales target for assigned shows in exhibit space.
  • Coach/empower/train Sales Team to enhance & refine sales skills, help them succeed, and to ensure Salesforce is being used to its fullest capacity.
  • Monitor activity of Sales Team, and assure compliance with RX sales process standards.
  • Maintain high awareness of industry trends, market climate, and key industry players.
  • Utilize Sales Opportunity data to monitor information input by the Sales Team for accuracy and completeness and for managing risks and opportunities.
  • Provide accurate forecasts using the probability data in Salesforce.
  • Sell at competitive shows and prepare accurate competitive show reports in a timely manner.
  • Improve business processes and implement changes.
  • Have success with cross-departmental collaboration to achieve results.
  • Perform additional duties as required to ensure a successful show. 
  • Directly manage and sell accounts as part of the role.
Education
College degree preferred; equivalent business training or experience suffices.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Strengths
  • Knowledge of action sports and fashion industry.
  • Knowledge of sales, particularly telemarketing and presentation techniques.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Operating System preferred.
Experience
  • Three or more years prior telephone or related sales experience required.
  • Two years progressive responsibility in trade show/event sales preferred.
  • Industry experience within the action sports and apparel industry preferred.
Travel
May be extensive at times.
