Reed Tech, a LexisNexis Company (a subsidiary of RELX) is looking for a Sales Development Rep to support New Business objectives in a rapidly-growing, Life Sciences business. As a Sales Development Rep, you will become the face of Reed Tech Life Sciences and gain valuable experience working with pharmaceutical and medical device executives. This role requires a competitive and driven person who can conduct a high volume of outbound telephone calls to qualify prospective customers and move forward the sales process by establishing appointments for Account Executives. In addition to established campaigns, the Sales Development Rep will also have the opportunity to prospect for new leads using available research tools.


Accountabilities:

  •  Engage prospective customers through an understanding of Reed Tech solutions and ensure client and prospect satisfaction by determining needs and collaborating with internal resources for resolution.
  •  Achieve measurable success in setting appointments for Account Executives by prospecting 65-80 contacts per day.
  • Work campaigns consisting of pre-qualified calls or cold calls and utilize available research tools to discover and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Field inbound calls from prospective customers generated from targeted marketing programs.
  • Manage client and prospect profiles in CRM systems
  • Work effectively with and assist others in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate Reed Tech sales methodology and brand awareness to expand the use of Life Sciences products

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; business or marketing major preferred
  • 1-2 years in a professional environment, preferably with direct sales experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong detail orientation with the ability to follow defined processes
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.)
  • Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
