Regional Order-to-Cash Manager, leading a collections and cash applications for an international company.

 

Based in France, The Regional Order-to-Cash Manager role directs and manages the day to day functions for all customer and miscellaneous receivable collection activities throughout the EMEA region. This position is responsible for department planning, the development of goals and action plans, and implementing strategic initiatives for the EMEA region collections group.

 

The position has a double reporting : to the Global Order-to-Cash Director.

 

Day to day tasks:

  • Manages a collection team of 10 people (internal and third party team)
  • Manages the receivables and the cash applications on a daily basis
  • Presents and builds financial information (Days Sales Outstanding, aging reports, top accounts analysis, cash forecasting, performance metrics) to management.
  • Manages relationship and performance of third party agencies
  • Manages the continuous improvement of DSO
  • Implements continuous process improvements (policies, systems) in collections to improve cash flow and minimize bad debt expense.
  • Participates in best practice knowledge sharing.
  • Provides receivable forecasts for the businesses
  • Complies with SOX policy at all levels.
  • Collaborates with senior sales, legal and finance managers to resolve delinquent balances generated by major customers.
  • Evaluates the monthly bad debt provision

 Operational roles on France scope (follow up on each client based on a ticketing tool, solve issues with client, profit and loss entries, etc..)

 

For all EMEA, follow up of receivables on a global level.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of financial and management experience in collections and accounts receivable within public/private sectors and people management responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational, planning, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with co-workers that enhance the quality and efficiency of work produced.
  • Ability to manage and lead within a changing environment.
  • Ability to manage and lead within a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective management of a diverse group, external provider.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with databases including developing queries and producing accurate reports.
