Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Sutton, Surrey

Duration: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

 

Basic Job Function
 This position is responsible for partnering with HRBPs and Hiring Managers to
 assist with the recruitment and selection of entry- mid-level talent into the organization.  This position is responsible for meeting with the hiring manager to gain a full understanding of the role and sourcing candidates through varies tools – job boards, social media, employee referrals and cold calling to attract talent. Full screen resumes, conduct initial phone screens and provide candidate overview to hiring manager on alignment to role.  Conduct additional interviews as required and track all recruiting activities in Applicant Tracking System.

 

Accountabilities

•Proactively confers with management and HR Business Partner to identify headcount needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills. Develops forward-looking sourcing plans.

•Develops and maintains broad network of contacts and sources to help proactively identify qualified candidates.

•Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates and determine new internet sources to be utilized to attract talent

•Screens applicant resumes and initiates contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings.

•Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.

•Refers candidates and manages the sourcing funnel of interviews to/for the management team.

•Updates Applicant Tracking System on candidate status in the process and keeps interview notes and salary expectation data in the ATS.

•Provides a bi-weekly update to HR Business Partner and Hiring Managers on the status of open positions and any potential concerns with candidate volume, pricing or interview scheduling. 

•Partners with Compensation to create offer grid analysis of internal and external data points and provides offer recommendation to management.

•Extends verbal and written offer to candidate and closes requisition in the ATS system.

•Collaborates with the HR Business Partner and Shared Services to ensure new hire processes and onboarding are planned appropriately. Reviews candidate status in onboarding and contacts candidate if any information is missing which will delay their background check from progressing or is delaying the process. 

•Works on other duties/projects as assigned to improve the Talent Acquisition processes, procedures and policies to increase the effectiveness and efficiencies of Talent Acquisition.

 

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

•Solid proven background of direct sourcing, screening and hiring 75+ positions annually

•Strong Generalist background with capability to hire across a full spectrum of functions.

•Utilization of Talent Acquisition and HR systems such as Applicant Tracking Systems (Taleo/Workday), PeopleSoft, Candidate Management systems (Avature/iCims), etc. 

•Understanding of Employment Laws, OFCCP and EEOC compliance requirements.

•Proficient in Excel and Data Analytics

 

Please note this is an initial 6 month fixed term contract but for the right candidate there is every potential for it to become permanent.
