HESI, a keystone product family within Elsevier’s Nursing and Health Education product portfolios, focuses on assessing nursing students’ readiness for NCLEX exams and providing innovative solutions to improve students’ mastery of knowledge. 

The Product Operations Manager, HESI BAU and Content Excellence is responsible for driving incremental feature enhancements to existing HESI products as well as managing and coordinating content creation for the HESI product family, with the ultimate goal of creating product differentiation via engaging product features enriched by fresh and effective nursing education content.

Your responsibilities

Customer Focus

  • Interacts with both internal and external customers to represent requirements and understand key customer needs and market basics.
  • Is familiar with and can use product management frameworks (e.g. pragmatic marketing, silicon valley product group etc).
  • Focuses on delivering customer commitments.
  • Directly addresses customer complaints; prioritizes CITS tickets based on revenue impact, urgency and other risk factors.
  • Is able to leverage or conduct market researches and collect competitive intelligence.

Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis

  • Is able to collect and analyze product metrics or other types of data.
  • Is able to derive insights from data analysis and makes product recommendations based on data insights.

Plan Execution and Management

  • Is able to build strong partnership with other team members.
  • Is able to drive progress and attain key results through collaboration and communications.

Industry Knowledge and Technical Skills

  • Understands customer pain points in the nursing education vertical.
  • Understands the company technology stack at a high level, for his/her feature area.
  • Is familiar with various content creation processed and tools.
  • Uses technologies to assist day-to-day tasks (Excel, Adobe Analytics, SQL, etc.).
  • Understands the relevant technology architecture.
  • Ability to engage developers to understand technology constraints.
