National Account Manager, ACDS



The Advanced Clinical Decision Support AM works closely with customers to prepare agreements for renewal, upsell and new business.   This position will sell and promote Elsevier's Advanced Clinical Decision Support Solutions to current and potential healthcare providers. The ideal candidate is a proven sales representative or customer support representative with attention to detail, the ability to work independently, the ability to connect with decision makers within healthcare organizations, and the ability to maintain healthy pipelines.


Account Management & Responsibilities:

  • Execute Account Management and Renewal Strategies to drive new, renewal & upsell to ACDS Accounts within North America to support assigned team quotas.
  • Initiate cold calls to targeted list to sell our products
  • Build Relationships with Customers
  • Execute consistent telesales standards & tools
  • Monitor the stability of accounts
  • Develop and monitor plans of action to support the renewal strategy of unstable accounts
  • Execute on identified Up-sell Opportunities
  • Deliver on cross-promotional product strategies
  • Demonstrate operational excellence in following sales standards and using sales tools (CRM/Siebel & SalesForce.com)
  • Develop Leads into Opportunities
  • Provide monthly reports documenting sales results & pipelines
  • Strive to meet quarterly & annual sales targets

 Your Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Clinical Decision Support Products 
  • Experience in sales preferred, customer relationship management role as a minimum requirement.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience working in a sales or commercial customer success organization
  • Microsoft Back-Office systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and follow up skills
  • Possess and display effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn and to share knowledge with other team members
  • Detailed oriented, a logical thinker, and a good listener
  • Team and goal oriented
  • Possess a positive attitude with co-workers and clients
  • Ability to maintain good relationships
  • Ability to use analytical skills to recognize potential sales obstacles and recommend solutions
  • College Degree Preferred
