LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a strategic Marketing Manager to develop marketing strategies to drive brand equity, revenue and profitability for their North American Research Solutions (NARS) group in Dayton, OH. In addition, you will be expected to manage marketing mix concepts of segment positioning, brand architecture, and customer segmentation dedicated to acquisition and customer retention. 

 


Responsibilities:

  1. Manager of marketing plan development, including research.
  2. Development of segment positioning, brand architecture, competitive assessments, customer segmentation, solution brands and building on brand equity.
  3. Develop and execute marketing tactics
  4. New Product launch plans and roll out to customers. Alignment with the Marketing function area needs (PR, Direct to Customer, Show Management, web)
  5. Review/recommendations of marketing effectiveness versus objectives
  6. Achieving revenue goals and managing to approved budgets
  7. Monthly department reports, financial and customer analysis, and quarterly updates.
  8. Clear communication of plans and alignment to internal and external stakeholders, and persuading others to support ideas.

 


Qualifications:

  • Brand Knowledge/Brand Equity: Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing mix concepts (e.g., segment positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, customer segmentation).
  • Business Knowledge: Knowledge of procedures and marketing mix elements that drive increase in volume and brand equity.
  • Marketing Direction: Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing strategies (marketing programs)
  • Sales Management: Knowledge of basic sales management concepts (sell-in process, benefits/features products, channels, training).
  • Planning & Organizing: Establishing courses of action for self and other to ensure that work is completed efficiently in light of the strategies and destination of the department and organization. Strong project management skills required.
  • Communicating Effectively: Conveying information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicits input from the audience during the communication.
  • Thinking Systemically: Understanding the complexities and interdependencies of information and events in order to develop more effective solutions and ideas.
  • Building Value Based Relationship: Generating alliances internally and externally by continuously identifying and acting on those things that will create success for the company and its customers, suppliers, community.
  • Establishing Collaborative Working Relationships: Developing and using collaboration for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives; developing relationships with other individuals by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others efforts and point of views.
  • Exerting Personal Influence: Persuading others to support or agree with an idea, issue or position.
  • Bachelors degree, preferable in Marketing. MBA preferred.
