The Marketing Team
At LexisNexis Canada we have a winning strategy of going to market by customer segment, with Marketing organized to support these segment teams. We work hand in glove with Sales to develop integrated action plans for driving growth and retaining customers. Our aim is to be one of the best B2B marketing organizations in Canada, and to prove it by fueling short and long-term success through smart, creative, and effective marketing and sales enablement activities.

Marketing Coordinator Role
We market our portfolio of legal tools and information by developing on-brand, segment-specific marketing campaigns that engage legal professionals. This Toronto-based role is for a Marketing Coordinator for the Large Law, Medium Law Segment which will account for about 50% of their time. The other 50% is to focus on creating and curating high quality B2B content that appeals to the audience, attracts customers and boosts brand awareness.

Reporting to the Segment Marketing Manager and working closely with the broader marketing team, the Marketing Coordinator is accountable for supporting in the development, implementation and execution of marketing programs and initiatives, including direct mail, email campaigns, web initiatives, social media campaigns, ads, inserts, e-Newsletters and sales collateral material. Regular social media posting on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook will also be required.

Responsibilities
  • Write marketing/promotional copy to help sell product, webinars, and events
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, from drafting a work back schedule, filling in a brief template based on input from the Marketing Manager ensuring the proper marketing processes are followed 
  • Support the execution of tactics, covering a range of digital related activities such as sourcing distribution lists, proofreading, getting approvals, preparing emails for deployment and posting to social media
  • Monitor campaign/tactic results (impressions, followers, clickthroughs, downloads, leads generated, revenue contributed, etc.) 
  • Supporting retention-related events and webinars

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications or Business
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a marketing coordinator or similar role
  • Communication/ Advertising Agency experience would be considered an asset
  • Bi-lingual French and English would be a major asset

What we are looking for
  • You can handle multiple projects with a “can do” attitude and easily meet assigned deadlines
  • You write clear, accurate and engaging copy for event and product marketing initiatives such as web pages, category pages, banner ads, direct mailers, event signage, print ads, and more including descriptions for product pages on the web site, banner ads, print ads, direct mailers and Google Ads.
  • You are well organized and detail oriented, therefore it is second nature for you to ensure marketing materials directed to our very detail-oriented customers are accurate and adhere to brand standards
  • You consider yourself an advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet research
  • You are familiar with email marketing software as well as workflow management tools such as Asana
  • You may have had exposure/ used HTML, Adobe Creative Suite and CRM systems
  • You use a proactive approach to tackling projects, possess strong interpersonal skills and can effectively work independently
