This is an existing role within the Global Marketing Excellence team, a highly dedicated and enthusiastic team supporting all Elsevier Business Units to be best in class in the industry by developing and managing our Marketing Automation platform.  The Marketing Automation Manager (reporting into the Director of Marketing Automation) will be responsible for articulating operational marketing needs from multiple Business Units, translating these into functional requirements and working with Marketing Technology to implement technical solutions.

 

This role helps set the roadmap for marketing automation, including implementation of marketing tools for specific functions, such as analytics, targeting, campaign, social and search. This requires in depth experienced (operational or as consultant) including experience with management and measurement of marketing initiatives. In this role you will be working with the BUs to prioritize goals and help them accomplish key priorities by working with Marketing Technology in the role of product manager, gathering requirements and solutions on operational and/or tactical level. Ultimately you’re responsible for the marketing automation tools offered to the business.

Your responsibilities:

Manage and/or contribute to delivery of marketing automation roadmap, projects like implementation of a new marketing data warehouse, standard campaign tracking code, digital asset management platform, campaign integration with Analytic tools, migration of campaign enterprise to campaign cloud and onboarding Business Units to central platforms.

Drive the implementation of the GDPR regulation requirements in all aspects of marketing automation (preferences, forms, subscriptions, reporting)

Business Lead on projects by providing project support as a subject matter expert, gathering and reviewing functional requirements and specifications; work with the project team to deliver to business requirements while safeguarding the integrity of the MA platform and utilizing best practices

First point of contact for all business units regarding  technical capabilities and change requests

Support Customer Life Cycle Campaigns driven by Customer Centricity

Manage implementation of actionable insights and metrics

Realize implementation of deliverability and effectiveness dashboards

Drive implementation of reporting and visualization programs, as well as reporting on project progress and SLAs with solution providers

Work with the business stakeholders supporting day2day operations and refining project requirements

A varied background with experience in marketing planning and strategy, marketing workflows, business process design and review, behavioural marketing, and data mining and analysis

Experience managing marketing technology and integrating marketing applications (with enterprise applications)

Exceptional data analysis and presentation skills

Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in marketing technology
