About the Key Account Manager:

We are seeking a commercially aware Key Account Manager to strategically manage the clients of LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions specifically working within Government, Local Authority and Public Sector organisations.  We are looking for someone with proven experience of selling solutions to Government and Public Sector bodies.  A background with case/workflow management, practice management and/or CRM management would be beneficial and experience of working with Local Authority, Government or Public bodies would be advantageous.  The role holder requires experience of building out value added relationships with senior decision makers within client organisations specifically with Head of Finance, Legal, Procurement, Technology but also similar C-Suite category roles.  A consultative approach is key, as is a deep understanding of the challenges facing our clients and the ability to offer advice on how our solutions can help drive profit growth, create efficiency/time saving improvements and deliver on their overall strategic aims.  Results will be measured by the revenue growth generated from the client base alongside enhancing customer Net Promoter Scores (NPS).  In addition, the candidate will demonstrate a track record of sustained high performance in past roles and can reference several example of clients where they previously built a mutually successful long term relationship.  

To be successful in the role you must have :

Demonstrable track record of delivering to and over achieving revenue targets 

A strong commercial background with an appreciation of customer drivers and success criteria

Excellent customer interaction skills, plus demonstrable ability to establish credibility within the market

Strategic and financial planning skills and the ability to oversee target attainment strategies while retaining a grounded viewpoint and ability to turn this into reality

Demonstratable consistent focus on ensuring that the customer perspective is the driving force behind business decisions and activities; crafting and implementing account plans that meet customers’ needs

Good understanding of solutions sales models and ability to communicate product/service value and ‘story’ to customer facing teams

Experience and confidence in working with senior executives internally and externally

A keen interest in enterprise software and technology

A keen interest and understanding of the drivers and changes happening in Government and Public Sector

The ability to operate from high-level articulation of customer value to detailed delivery of key requirements

Proven ability to create a vision and lead a team towards this vision

Would also be nice if you had experience with:

Experience with case management solutions 

Experience with productivity solutions

Experience within Government and Public Sector and an understanding of the dynamics that are driving change

Experience of working with Corporate clients / Professional Services markets
