Identity & Access Management (IAM) Systems Director, RBI

Reporting to: VP Product Technology

The Role


  • Do you like technology and using it to drive value for customers and business operations? Do you have experience and interest in Identity & Access Management Systems (IAM), integrating, using or building them?
  • Would you like to lead the technology teams in RBI that run and build our existing solutions used in the RBI brands?
  • Do you want to direct substantial amount of your time to shaping and delivering the Next Generation of IAM capability with, and for the RBI brands?
  • RBI is seeking a Director, Identity & Access Systems to take on this challenge


Key Success Indicators


  • Leading a team of developers, testers and analysts delivering high quality, robust and stable current IAM solutions
  • Delivering feature enhancement and enriched integrations to business systems and electronic products
  • Developing and owning the overarching business case of IAM Systems in RBI, specifically the creation of the next generation capabilities implemented within the brands over the next 1-3 years
  • Creating a vision and shaping the future of IAM Systems via a consistent delivery approach and shared code model across the RBI brands
  • Utilising skills, leadership, drive and energy to ensure delivery and manage teams (Directly and virtually)
  • Using influence to drive results across a portfolio and matrix structure



  • Managing existing team within Identity & Access Systems, (including vIPER and ReedXS)
  • Establishing patterns and solutions for the RBI markets to implement new IAM solutions
  • Cross-functional sharing of implementations and extensions
  • Central delivery of core components
  • Steering Next IAM Architecture in partnership with a dedicated architect


Required Skills & Experience


  • Activities and specialities: Program definition and leadership
  • Domain: IAM solutions in terms of capabilities, implementations, operational use
  • Domain: Product and website solutions leveraging IAM capabilities; business systems and enterprise systems with connections to the IAM solutions
  • Agile working practices, especially in multi stakeholder shared service environment. Especially in shared code base and internal-open source environment
  • Technology: Vendor package extension, software build, variety of tech stacks
  • Technology skills: Although a development background is not essential, it is important you have led technologists; been a key part if technical projects and discussions; can engage with technologists in a credible manner; can represent technical aspects to non-technical staff effectively and with enough credibility and depth
  • Team management of 10-30 staff
  • Global working; Global relationship management; Global stakeholder management.
