Job Title: Global Process Owner – Purchase to Pay (‘P2P’) Processes

Reports to: Global Transformation Director

Based at: Richmond, Surrey, UK

Job Purpose:  The Global Process Owner [GPO] is a key member of the Finance Solutions Team and is responsible for defining, developing and implementing a consistent, streamlined, global Purchase-to-Pay process through the leverage of industry best practice and technology.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the rollout of the Finance solution ensuring that the P2P solution is consistent with the global vision
  • Lead the adoption of the P2P processes within the business through knowledge and enthusiasm
  • Align the global standard processes to the global policies 
  • Validate the global standard process against BU requirements and agree local process deviations where justified
  • Legislate, obtain support and agree direction from Global Sponsors for all arising conflicts in process design and the related business change;
  • Drive the function towards global standardization with complete and accurate process documentation; 
  • Devise the key performance indicators, targets and metrics to drive quality and standardisation in purchasing and payables matching, reconciliation and closing processes;
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and non-value added activities which can be resolved via process change; 
  • Preparation, presentation and obtaining sign off from global finance leadership and Programme Sponsors of ROI analysis for proposed change initiatives; 
  • Drive benefits realisation across core finance processes globally;
  • Collaborate to the detailed design of the technology solutions with the Technology Partners;
  • Prioritize process improvement to areas of biggest return / need;
  • Coordinate, plan and lead execution of reporting rationalization and creation of new global standard reports;
  • Alignment with GPOs in Quote-to-Cash and Record-to-Report business processes areas;
  • Identify, assess and address change management issues related to the to-be process, in alignment with the local Change Managers;
  • Form collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders, including the Group CFO and Regional CFOs thereby ensuring high levels of buy in and confidence in the new global finance solution.

Ideal candidate profile:
  • Experience in both an operational purchasing/procurement role and an IT related role, either a P2P Business Analyst or GPO with the ability to seamlessly work across both disciplines 
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written format to all levels of management
  • Key driver or stakeholder within global ERP implementations
  • Track record of designing and implementing process improvement within a large matrix-based organisation 
  • Experience of operating within a finance shared service environment 
  • Proven strong analytical, decision-making and organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Experience in managing multiple customers and points of contact at all levels within the organisation
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and high levels of energy and drive – especially in the face of resistance or setbacks
  • Initiates change and has strong leadership skills and has potential to progress within the RX Organisation
  • Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and establishes effective relationships with same
  • Highly proficient in English, oral and written, with other languages (eg. French, Mandarin, Japanese) a definite plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and knowledge of Oracle EBS v12 or equivalent 
  • Has experience of working in an Agile Framework
  • Overseas travel required (eg. France, China & Japan)
