Job Title: Event Manager, Launches

Reports to: Commercial Director / Portfolio Director   

Based at: Richmond, Greater London, UK

The Role: One of Reed Exhibitions’ main goals is to innovate, develop, and differentiate our global product portfolio. The Commercial Team has an opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Event Manager to join us working on developing and launching new exciting events in a variety of formats.  The ideal individual to join our team will absolutely love working in a small agile team and love being part of the creation of what will develop into market-leading events of the future. 

Based in our Richmond office you will have the opportunity to develop your career within fast-paced, international environment, working closely with business development and event specialists across the company to deliver new event launches. International travel forms part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
Creating and delivering market-leading events that delight customers
You’ll lead a motivated and enthusiastic team to deliver unrivalled learning experiences and new business opportunities 
Hands-on strategic planning and budgeting to achieve year-on-year growth in revenue and profit 
Use customer insight to drive innovation and deliver products and experiences that delight our customers
Lead and motivate an international team of sales, marketing, digital, administration, operations and customer service professionals
Collaborate with external organisations to  ensure we deliver an unrivalled experience for our target audiences 
Embrace digital technologies to help our audiences connect and communicate
Understand our key challenges and continue to develop our winning strategy 
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a talented, curious and collaborative visionary, someone excited about challenging the way we do things and focused on creating customer value.  You will be adept at embracing new technologies, with a clear vision of how great data will underpin everything we do. 
Several years’ experience in a commercial environment in brand and/or product management, with experience of Profit and Loss management
Proven track record of successful line management and team motivation
Innovator who can adjust to and drive change
Track record in setting and achieving high-level targets 
Collaboration champion who builds communities and networks to drive growth, profit and customer satisfaction
Skilled at building relationships with customers, trade bodies, sales and marketing staff.  
Experienced at using technology including data, digital and mobile to deliver improved customer outcomes
High level of emotional intelligence and organisational awareness
Strategic, with a clear vision on how to drive success
Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise a heavy workload
