The Global HR group at RELX Group is seeking an experienced Sharepoint Consultant to help design and configure our future HR Portal as we go through a digital transformation and modernization program. This position reports to the Global Portal Manager (HR) and partners with Global HR leadership, HR Systems team(s), and IT to translate business and system requirements into digital content solutions using Workday and Office 365 SharePoint Online in conjunction with other collaboration solutions and systems across RELX Group. (Yammer, Teams, PowerApps, Flow). This position supports approximately 35K employees in over 50 countries.

 

 

As a Sharepoint Consultant at RelX, you will:

  • Function as Office 365 SharePoint Online Communications sites “Power User” to create digital content and solutions for the HR Portal and accompanying HR systems.
  • Merge business needs with the capabilities that the platform offers and how it can be leveraged to most effectively satisfy business objectives.
  •  Implement intranet and collaboration solutions
  • Configure SharePoint leveraging its out-of-the-box functionality, build workflow applications and forms
  • Develop applications that will improve & enhance workflow
  • PowerApps, Flow, Teams and Yammer
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions with the end user(s), process experts, and other stakeholders to clearly define requirements.
  • Deliver pre-configured solutions using web parts and delivered functionality to eliminate the need for coding or large-scale projects where possible.
  • Maintain and configure document libraries (content management and version control) of legally required digital content and archives.
  • Build solid relationships with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Where more advanced solutions are required, work with the IT and HR Systems Technical team to deliver the recommended solution.
  • Maintain systems by monitoring and updating as needed and as defined by various system roadmap(s).
  • Analyze, provide reports and insights using site analytics and metrics.
  • Investigate modern technologies and develop skills, knowledge, and ability to improve processes and procedures, and keep updated on trends and developments in the platforms.

In order to be considered for the Sharepoint Consultant role, you must:

  • Possess a unique combination of platform knowledge, business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • BA/BS degree in a Technology or Business-related field (Human Resources, Marketing, Communications), or equivalent. 
  • 3+ years of Office 365 design and collaboration experience (SharePoint, Teams, Yammer) required.
  • Have knowledge of web development,  application development, graphic design and tools (Adobe CC)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • SharePoint Online Intranet design & building experience
  • PowerShell, C#, Visual Studio Code, Power BI a plus.
  • Have knowledge of developing in Microsoft technologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into simple deliverable solutions using out of the box functionality in SharePoint, Workday, or other collaboration solution/system.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint in Azure and general network security concepts.
  • Experience as a SharePoint power-user is preferred
  • Experience with HR systems and knowledge of Human Resources core concepts preferred.
  • Effective communication skills/consensus builder who can cope with challenging situations and interact with different professional levels.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to enhance productivity, increase efficiency, simplicity, and add measurable values.
  • Ability to write short, concise, creative copy and headlines.
