Job Summary:

The Customer Insights Analyst Level II (CIA II) is focused on the delivery of the business reporting requirements for various Reed Exhibitions (RX) teams globally, including but not limited to post-show reports, business strategy decks, NPS reporting and visualization, customer data analysis, etc.

The work consists of the following:


Post-show Surveys and Research

The CIA II works with event teams to design, program and deploy surveys and analyze results of Reed Exhibitions portfolio of events for various industries and countries. The insights identified are provided to the show teams and stakeholders in the form of a PowerPoint presentation. 


Business Reports

Work with Data Executives, CI Managers and Marketing Managers to help develop the reports including the design and delivery of new reports, dashboards, insights and intelligence.


Additional Job Description Information:

The successful analyst will work closely with each individual show teams, marketing teams and managers to deliver post event and ad hoc surveys to identify customer insights, measure key metrics and evaluate customer behavior so event teams can identify critical trends and develop strategies and programs to drive increase in KPIs, a more effective customer experience and business growth. He/she is expected to be an experienced professional and at least an intermediate user of statistical and/or other data and computing tools and techniques.

·         Ability to collaborate, facilitate, consult, partner and influence; supporting senior management, show teams, and all operational departments of the organization

     Ability to translate data and insight into actions for the business to capitalize on

·         Ability to meticulously work on projects while having a never-ending curiosity about the world around us to tailor fit correct approaches and methodologies to support the needs of the business

·         The ability to work with team members locally and from various countries and of varying levels to manage and fulfill all research needs within the organization including Customer Satisfaction work, marketing support and new product development

·         Creative and high-energy with a drive to build capability, innovate, and deliver results. 

 

Accountabilities:

·         Produce NPS reporting and visualisations for ad hoc research within agreed business timescales for RXUK shows.  Provide recommendations to improve the event strategy to the CI Manager, HoM, MM and Event leaders.

·         Identify the data sources and stages (new customer data, returning customer data) needed to build a customer journey map and work with the CI Manager and analytics executive to help understand the level of customer engagement at each stage from new customer to generating loyalty.

·         Work with the Customer Insight Managers and Marketing Managers to bring together multiple data sources to facilitate data driven persona development and tracking.

·         Use the channel report (which shows the performance of marketing channels) created by the Analytics Executive, to provide a weekly recommendation to marketing teams (Marketing Managers, Content & Community Manager and Acquisition Manager) to analyse and optimise campaigns and online activity.

·         Provide recommendations for the marketing teams to perform A/B tests on all elements of our marketing mix.

·         Provide recommendations for sales and marketing teams to support net new marketing qualified leads for sales teams and the progression of these customers into buying customers be that stand, digital or sponsorship revenues.

·         Identify data gaps, data mapping and data quality issues and assist the relevant teams in addressing them with the Data and Analytics Manager.

·         Report and help maintain strategic integrity of data across the company; helping monitor the usage of data, identifying key segments and customers, ultimately ensuring the quality and usability of data isn’t compromised

·         Help with the delivery of self-serve insight/reporting and support the relevant teams in accessing and understanding this self-serve insight/reporting working with CI Managers.

·         Train and develop and support individuals across the business who access the reporting system

·         Deliver reporting and insight via various methods including data visualisation and infographics to ensure deeper engagement with reporting and insight

Make recommendations to analytic executive and the Data and Analytics Manager to develop and deliver  or improve dashboards and visualisations in Tableau, SSRS, Microsoft BI and/or OBIEE

 

Complimentary Competencies:

Copywriting skills in English

Ability to translate customer's needs into a solid survey campaign strategy

Quantitative / qualitative questionnaires copywriting

Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to turn results into actionable plans

Project management, organization and planning

Synthesis capabilities.  Ability to deep dive into data and also keep high level point of view

Ability to work across various industry segments, B2B experience, international


Technical Competencies

1.       Proficient in Excel and Word, and PowerPoint “power user.”

2.       Experience with analytical programs like SAS, R, or SPSS a plus.

3.       Survey design and quality assurance experience a plus

     Java script and HTML experience are pluses including exposure to an html editor such as DreamWeaver, KompoZer, CoffeeCup, etc. A plus

1.       Exposure to survey programming platforms like Vovici EFM [Verint], Survey Monkey, Confirmit, etc.

2.       Exposure to SPSS and/or other data tabulation software a plus

3.       Statistical skills and data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research methodology

4.       Programming and analytics Tool : Verint ( EFM)

     Advanced skills :  Excel, PowerPoint

Qualifications:
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to turn results into actionable plans.

·         4 – year college degree holder in Marketing/Computer Science(or other related)

·         2-5 years of experience in Strategic Marketing, Market Research, Consumer Insights, Research, Events and / or strategic marketing consulting / agency. 

o   Should be familiar with questionnaire / moderator guide design and have sampling knowledge

·         An understanding of events, advertising and marketing strategy and a commitment to strategic analysis, developing key insights, and providing recommendations to event teams on performance, strategy, plans, positioning and business decisions

·         Strong project management experience.  This includes defining research or learning objectives, designing the methodology, conducting the research and analyzing the research to provide strategic guidance to the show teams and overall Reed Exhibitions management.

o   Should have a strong operational background when dealing with data collection and research overall; with heavy volume of research, operational efficiencies will consistently need to be identified and implemented.

·         Ability to work across various industry segments.  B2B experience is an asset. 

·         Expert ability to analyze & synthesize large volumes of information into key insights and recommendations that will improve business results. 

          Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to turn results into actionable plans.

           Must be in current role for the last 12 months

           No performance, behavioral or attendance issues for the last 12 months

           No disciplinary action / PIP received within the last 12 months
