Job Summary

 

Customer post-show surveys management

 

The Customer Insights Analyst works with Reed Exhibitions (RX) events teams globally to design, program and deploy surveys and analyze results of Reed Exhibitions portfolio of events for various industries and countries. The insights identified are provided to the show teams and stakeholders in the form of a PowerPoint presentation.


 

The work consists of the following:

 

  • Post-show Surveys and Research

 

The biggest workload for the team is designing, programming and deploying of post-show surveys and reporting of the data gathered from this method thereafter. The post-show survey primarily measures customer satisfaction, loyalty, NPS and need to attend/exhibit. Additional information such as event performance and customer sentiments are also gathered through the survey. About 80% of the survey questions are standard questions consistent across events and about 20% is custom-designed for individual events.

 

  • Adhoc Projects

 

Additional research work such as custom or adhoc surveys are occasionally done on an “as needed” basis or as required by the business. Nature of these adhoc projects revolve around specific show team concerns to address, YoY trend reports, areas of opportunity to highlight, and the likes.

 

Most RX surveys use the EFM or Vovici (Verint) platform online, and occasionally, also creates paper surveys through PDF or Word format, for use of some account managers.

 

Additional Job Description Information:

The successful analyst will work closely with each individual show team to deliver post event and ad hoc surveys to identify customer insights, measure key metrics and evaluate customer behavior so event teams can identify critical trends and develop strategies and programs to drive increase in KPIs, a more effective customer experience and business growth. He/she is expected to be an experienced professional and at least an intermediate user of statistical and/or other data and computing tools and techniques.

Other expectations for the analyst as follows:

  2. Ability to translate data and insight into actions for the business to capitalize on
  3. Ability to meticulously work on projects while having a never-ending curiosity about the world around us to tailor fit correct approaches and methodologies to support the needs of the business
  4. The ability to work with team members locally and from various countries and of varying levels to manage and fulfill all research needs within the organization including Customer Satisfaction work, marketing support and new product development
  5. Creative and high-energy with a drive to build capability, innovate, and deliver results.

 

      Accountabilities:

  • Analyze online briefs from show teams and other stakeholders
  • Questionnaire design and workflow validation
  • Questionnaire programming in VERINT platform (Online, mobile, printed version)
  • Coordination with CRM and Central Marketing team for survey emailing campaign: upload client database into Verint, provide individual URLs list
  • Data collection analysis and follow up
  • Intermediate KPI extraction and communication
  • Data extraction and analysis (incl. verbatim codification)
  • Peer to peer reviews and quality checks
  • Full report design with insights and recommendations
  • Update of reporting dashboards (OBIEE, Qlik, Tableau, etc.)

 

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficient in Excel and Word, and PowerPoint “power user.”
  • Experience with analytical programs like SAS, R, or SPSS a plus.
  • Survey design and quality assurance experience a plus
  • Java script and HTML experience are pluses including exposure to an html editor such as DreamWeaver, KompoZer, CoffeeCup, etc. A plus.
  • Exposure to survey programming platforms like Vovici EFM [Verint], Survey Monkey, Confirmit, etc.
  • Exposure to SPSS and/or other data tabulation software a plus
  • Statistical skills and data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research methodology
  • Programming and analytics Tool : Verint ( EFM)
  • Advanced skills :  Excel, PowerPoint

 

Other Qualifications / Requirements:

Strong project management experience.  This includes defining research or learning objectives, designing the methodology, conducting the research and analyzing the research to provide strategic guidance to the show teams and overall Reed Exhibitions management.

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to turn results into actionable plans.
  • 4 – year college degree holder in Marketing/Computer Science(or other related)
  • 2-5 years of experience in Strategic Marketing, Market Research, Consumer Insights, Research, Events and / or strategic marketing consulting / agency.
  • Should be familiar with questionnaire / moderator guide design and have sampling knowledge
  • An understanding of events, advertising and marketing strategy and a commitment to strategic analysis, developing key insights, and providing recommendations to event teams on performance, strategy, plans, positioning and business decisions
  • Should have a strong operational background when dealing with data collection and research overall; with heavy volume of research, operational efficiencies will consistently need to be identified and implemented.
  • Ability to work across various industry segments.  B2B experience is an asset.
  • Expert ability to analyze & synthesize large volumes of information into key insights and recommendations that will improve business results
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to turn results into actionable plans.
