Job Title:- Commissioning Administration  

Key responsibilties :-

Financial reporting responsbilties

Timely and accurate raising of GERs, commitments in Bookmaster (BM), and booking of project cost in BM for publications each month. 
Following-up with the finance department to ensure timely dispatch of royalty cheque or transmission online and related payments on a project to project basis. 
Liaising with the finance department for preparation and dispatch of annual royalty cheques, TDS certificates, etc, including follow-up with authors to confirm receipt thereof.

Maintaining Transmittal & WIP Sheets

Ensuring efficient execution of day-to-day operations, including entering changes in the WIP sheet and carrying out necessary consequential actions. 
Maintaining transmittal sheets in specified format to record commissioning WIP and documents, in line with schedules.
Maintaining documentation to record project development status reports, project assessment reports and business cases.
Maintaining an updated author database.
Create/collate new database whenever required.

Providing Author Support

Ensuring on-time delivery of complimentary copies of publications. 
Following-up on issues and requests relating to TDS and other certificates from authors.
Responding to author needs and enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide materials for legal research.
Support authors in finalizing contracts.
Support department in maintaining & improving author relationship.



Graduate with preferably a degree in office management
Experience in project management and an ability to work on tight deadlines
Developed computer skills in Microsoft Word, MS Excel, MS Power point, Adobe Acrobat
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience. Exposure to working in a publishing house is desirable.

Ability to communicate/negotiate with internal and external customers
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical and troubleshooting skills
Developed computer skills including Word and Excel etc.
Knowledge of legal landscape would be immensely useful


Ability and willingness to adhere to agreed schedules.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; employed in routine contact with author, editors and freelancers, to ensure that communications convey necessary information professionally, clearly and concisely.
Ability to be discrete with information shared by manager.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of designated tasks.
