Business Development Manager - ICIS - London


ICIS is seeking to recruit a bright and talented Business Development Manager - Financials to join our sales team in London; primarily responsible for driving the new business development of oil, energy and petrochemicals commodity market intelligence solutions into high growth revenue sectors including Financials . He/she should be able to work autonomously to generate revenue using a value-based sales methodology to prospective ICIS customers for promotion and basic support of ICIS' products as well as sign-posting customers in need of technical assistance. This is an individual contributor role.
You will need to be a motivated and energetic individual, with demonstrable experience in high value, solution sales. It’s a target driven role requiring high levels of productivity, commercial awareness and focus but an incredibly rewarding one and very well rewarded in commissions. You must thrive in an international and complex environment, be a team player and be willing and able to combine innovative thinking with hands-on execution of sales from lead to close.

•Establish strong customer relationships through strong influencing skills, understanding the customer’s business, and issues affecting their marketplace
•Build trust and commitment with a broad range of customers    
•Seek, and act on, customer feedback to improve own performance and the customer experience              
•Foster a mind-set in others where they are encouraged to put customers first as well as going beyond the day to day working to wow customers
•Understand and promote the unique benefits of our products and services to delight existing and potential customers          
•Use a wide variety of internal and external networks, to provide the best thinking and solutions for customers               



•Successful track record in high value, solution sales
•Strong knowledge of the gas and petrochemicals markets
•Passion for customer is essential - creating strong, long term relationships with customers
•Excellent ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically
•People orientated, ability to collaborate well with the team
•Capability to build strong relationships both externally and internally
•Experienced at working with CRM systems
•Demonstrable understanding of sales proposition
•Highly motivated
